Fits Nexoc G724 and G505 laptops, replacing the original 14.8V lithium-ion cell.
14.8V, 5200mAh capacity delivers 76.96Wh — restores full charge cycles to aging notebooks without voltage sag under CPU and display load.
Connector type matches original housing; physical dimensions 141.82 x 102.86 x 21.00mm ensure flush seating in the battery slot.
We bench-tested this cell against a depleted OEM pack on G724 firmware; BMS accepted the new EEPROM on first insertion with no handshake delay.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nexoc G724 / G505 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 5200mAh (76.96Wh) Li-ion battery for the Nexoc G724 and G505 notebooks. It replaces a depleted or failed original cell and restores the laptop's ability to run away from mains power. Voltage and connector match the factory spec on both models.

  • G724 and G505 shared platform: Both models run the same 14.8V four-cell architecture and use an identical battery bay connector with the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full discharge to cutoff, and a second full charge. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charging circuit on each pass and held voltage within spec throughout the load curve.
  • First-cycle calibration on the G724 and G505: After fitting this battery, run it down until the laptop hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The Nexoc BIOS reads health data stored in EEPROM on the battery controller, not live cell voltage. When a new cell goes in, that EEPROM data does not match the old cell's history, so the system flags it as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% prompts the BIOS to rewrite its learned values against the new cell. After one or two cycles, the health indicator returns to normal.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell and does not know where the new cell's actual voltage cliff sits. The laptop cuts out because it has never mapped the new cell's discharge curve under combined CPU and display load. The fix is a full calibration cycle: discharge to automatic hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two to three cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new chemistry and the shutdown point drops back to near zero.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Nexoc G724 shows 0% or "battery unknown" in Windows right after fitting the new battery — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC in the laptop is reading EEPROM metadata from the new controller, which has no charge history yet, so Windows cannot resolve a percentage. This is not a fault. Charge the battery to 100% uninterrupted, then let the laptop discharge fully to hibernate. After that first complete cycle, the IC has enough data to report state of charge accurately.

The new battery shows 76Wh in the battery report but Windows Energy Report lists a lower design capacity — is the cell wrong?

The Wh figure Windows reads comes from the EEPROM on the battery controller, which may carry a different rated value than the physical cell's actual chemistry. The cell itself is 76.96Wh as specced. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate and recharge cycle, then check the Windows battery report again — the full-charge capacity figure will update to reflect the actual cell after the fuel gauge IC has completed one measured cycle.

Charging stopped at 80% on the G505 and won't go higher — is the cell defective?

This is almost always a BIOS-level charge limit, not a cell fault. Some Nexoc BIOS builds activate a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce heat and cell stress during mains-connected use. Go into the BIOS power settings or any pre-installed Nexoc battery utility and disable the charge threshold or conservation mode. Once that setting is off, a full charge cycle will take the battery to 100%.
