Fits Schenker XMG C504 laptops; replaces OEM part numbers 916TA013F and GNC-J40.
15.2V 3950mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 60.04Wh capacity for full-load CPU and GPU runtime.
Connector seats flush into the XMG C504 battery slot with a single mechanical locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell against the OEM pack; BMS accepted charge without fault codes on first cycle.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker XMG C504 — 15.2V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (916TA013F)

This is a 15.2V, 3950mAh (60.04Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Schenker XMG C504 gaming laptop. It replaces OEM part numbers 916TA013F and GNC-J40. Physical dimensions are 207.80 x 74.20 x 9.20mm — confirm clearance before ordering if the chassis has been modified.

  • XMG C504 fitment: The C504 uses a 15.2V four-cell Li-Polymer pack with a specific connector pinout tied to the EC (embedded controller) handshake. This battery matches that voltage rail and connector configuration so the EC recognises the pack and allows charging to proceed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full discharge, and BMS cutoff verification. The protection circuit tripped at the correct low-voltage threshold and the BMS re-engaged cleanly on reconnection — no manual reset required.
  • Post-install calibration on the XMG C504: After fitting, discharge the laptop fully until it hibernates on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without use. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to complete against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell

The XMG C504 BIOS reads EEPROM data embedded in the battery pack to estimate wear state. A brand-new cell has no cycle history written to that register yet, so the BIOS interprets the blank or mismatched data as a degraded pack. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the learn cycle writes fresh baseline data and the health warning clears on the next boot.

Laptop shuts down abruptly at 25–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The percentage reading drifts from reality, so the display shows 25% while the cell voltage has already hit the low-voltage cutoff threshold. The fix is two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles — each pass lets the fuel gauge IC re-map the voltage-to-capacity curve for the new cell. After those cycles, the cutoff should align with the displayed percentage and shutdowns at elevated charge levels stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The XMG C504 BIOS is showing the new battery as 0% health or "unknown" — is the cell faulty?

No. The BIOS pulls health data from the battery's EEPROM, and a replacement cell has no prior cycle data written to that register — so the firmware reads it as unknown or failed. Run one complete discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle writes baseline data to the EEPROM and the health status corrects itself on the next boot.

After fitting this battery, Windows is showing a Wh rating that doesn't match the 60.04Wh spec — why?

Windows reads the designed capacity value from the battery's EEPROM register, which reflects the OEM-rated figure encoded at the cell factory. The actual electrochemical capacity of the new cell and the stored EEPROM value can differ slightly depending on firmware version and how the original OEM wrote that register. This is a data reporting difference, not a capacity defect. Check Device Manager → Batteries → Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery → Details tab to see both the designed and full-charge capacity figures side by side.

The XMG C504 stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is this a battery fault?

Almost certainly not. Schenker laptops running on certain BIOS versions include a charge limit feature that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during prolonged mains use. Check the XMG Control Center software under the battery section — there is a toggle to switch between "office mode" (80% cap) and "travel mode" (100%). Disable the limit there, or update to the latest BIOS if the option is missing, and charging will proceed to 100%.
