Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker XMG PRO 17-M19 MSB — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 11.1V 5400mAh (59.94Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Schenker XMG PRO series mobile workstations. It fits the XMG PRO 17-M19 MSB, XMG PRO 15-M19 GFP, XMG PRO 17-E20, XMG PRO 17-E20 vqr, and nine additional models sharing the same battery bay and connector. Dimensions are 137.80 × 75.00 × 22.30mm.
- XMG PRO 15 and 17 series compatibility: These models share a common battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol across the M19 and E20 platform generations. The cell voltage rail and handshake logic are consistent across all listed variants, so the same replacement cell works without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the XMG PRO platform and logged BMS communication at each stage. The protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and charge termination signalled at 100% without overvolt event.
- First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting the new cell, run one complete discharge to hibernate-cutoff — do not interrupt — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health or capacity warning that appears after every cell swap on XMG systems.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The XMG PRO BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers on the battery's fuel gauge IC. When a new cell is installed, those registers still hold degradation data written by the old cell. The BIOS compares measured capacity against the stored rated value and flags the result as poor — even though the new cell is fully functional. Running a full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn-cycle data and clears the warning. If the BIOS still shows poor health after two full cycles, check that resting open-circuit voltage reads at least 12.4V before connecting.
XMG PRO shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The OS reads a percentage derived from the old cell's data, so the displayed figure and the real cell voltage diverge. Under combined CPU and display load, the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff before the OS registers 0%, triggering an immediate shutdown. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles without interruption — after the second cycle the fuel gauge IC recalculates its reference curve and the shutdown threshold aligns with the displayed percentage. Confirm calibration is complete by checking that cell voltage reads between 11.0V and 11.1V at the point the OS shows approximately 10% remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Schenker XMG PRO shows the replacement battery as "unknown" or 0% in the OS — what's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the new cell ships with EEPROM registers that the OS cannot yet map to a known charge state. Windows or Linux reads those registers as empty or unrecognised until the IC has run at least one calibration cycle. Plug in the charger, let the battery reach 100%, then drain it fully to hibernate-cutoff without interrupting either phase. After that single cycle the OS fuel gauge binds to the new cell's data and reports correctly.
Why does the Schenker XMG PRO system info show a different Wh rating than the battery label?
System info pulls the Wh figure from the EEPROM on the fuel gauge IC, which stores the rated chemistry value written at manufacture. The cell's actual measured capacity after calibration may read slightly differently because the IC recalculates based on real discharge data rather than the factory-rated figure. This is an EEPROM reporting difference, not a fault — the two values converge after two full discharge-and-charge cycles. Once calibrated, the system info Wh reading should settle close to 59.94Wh.
The new battery in my XMG PRO stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is the cell faulty?
No — this is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Schenker XMG systems include a firmware charge threshold setting that caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress when the laptop runs on AC power most of the time. Open XMG Control Center, navigate to the battery settings panel, and check whether the charge limit is set to 80%. Set it to 100% and reconnect the charger — charging will resume and complete to full voltage.
