Fits Honor MagicBook 14 i7-1165G7 laptop, replaces OEM battery HB4792Z9ECW-22A directly.
7.64V and 7330mAh (56Wh) — matches original output; sustains full CPU and display load.
Connector slides into slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab engages on insertion.
We bench tested this cell against the original pack; BMS accepted charge cycle without fault codes.
After install, fully discharge to shutdown then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honor MagicBook 14 i7-1165G7 — 7.64V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB4792Z9ECW-22A)

This is a 7.64V, 7330mAh (56Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Honor MagicBook 14 i7-1165G7 laptop. It also fits the MagicBook X14 and models NDR-WFH9HN and NMH-WFQ9HN. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge, reports degraded health, or fails to power the machine away from mains.

  • MagicBook 14 and X14 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 7.64V two-cell configuration, and HB4792Z9ECW-22A connector pinout. The BMS handshake uses the same EEPROM protocol across this platform, so the BIOS reads the replacement cell without adapter modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full discharge, and BMS cutoff on MagicBook 14 hardware. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff and resumed charge acceptance without manual reset.
  • Post-install calibration — MagicBook battery learn cycle: After fitting, discharge the laptop to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without waking the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The MagicBook BIOS caches health data from the previous cell's EEPROM. When a new cell goes in, the stored cycle count and capacity figures no longer match the live readings, triggering a false poor-health flag. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a continuous charge to 100% — the learn cycle overwrites the cached data and the health indicator resets to normal.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% battery shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The OS reads a percentage based on the old cell's discharge profile, so the reported figure is ahead of real voltage. Under combined CPU and display load, the cell hits its minimum voltage floor before the gauge reaches 0%, and the system cuts out. Two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles recalibrate the fuel gauge IC. After calibration, shutdown should not occur above 5% indicated charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MagicBook 14 shows the replacement battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows — is the cell dead?

The fuel gauge IC on this platform calibrates against the original cell's EEPROM data, so a new cell reads as unknown or 0% until it runs its first full cycle. Charge the laptop to 100%, discharge normally to hibernate cutoff, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After one to two full cycles the fuel gauge IC locks onto the new cell's voltage curve and the percentage reads accurately.

Windows Battery Report shows the new cell's design capacity as lower than the 56Wh stated — why?

The EEPROM on the replacement cell carries a rated chemistry figure that Windows reads directly into the Battery Report. The reported Wh value reflects what the EEPROM declares, not a measured discharge result. This is a data field difference, not a capacity fault. Run the laptop through two full discharge cycles and check the Full Charge Capacity figure — it should settle at or near 56Wh once the fuel gauge IC has measured the cell directly.

The MagicBook 14 stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement battery?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a battery fault. Honor's firmware includes a battery conservation mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress during extended periods on mains power. Open the Honor PC Manager app, go to Battery settings, and check whether Conservation Mode or a charge limit is enabled. Disable it and plug the charger back in — the cell will charge to 100%.
