Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SENAO DR35 / DR35S — 10.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 10.8V, 4000mAh (43.2Wh) Ni-MH battery for SENAO notebooks and laptops using the DR35 or DR35S battery part number. It replaces cells that have lost charge retention over repeated cycles. Fit is confirmed against OEM part numbers DR35 and DR35S.

  • DR35 and DR35S platform: Both part numbers share the same voltage rail, connector pinout, and physical form factor — 214.50 × 52.00 × 18.50mm. Either OEM number on your original cell confirms fitment with this replacement.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the bench. The BMS accepted charge normally, held voltage through the discharge curve, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without false trips.
  • Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on SENAO notebooks.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after swapping the DR35

The BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the EEPROM signature does not match the learned charge curve, so the system flags poor health. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After one to three cycles the BIOS recalibrates its learn table and the health warning clears.

Laptop shuts down suddenly at 20–30% charge shown on screen

The fuel gauge IC is still referencing the capacity curve of the old, degraded cell. When CPU load and display draw spike together, the new cell's actual voltage briefly dips below what the uncalibrated gauge expects at that percentage, triggering an emergency shutdown. The fix is calibration — not a hardware fault. Discharge fully to hibernate cutoff three times in a row, charging to 100% between each pass. After those cycles the fuel gauge IC maps its readings against the new cell's true voltage curve and the phantom shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SENAO laptop shows the battery Wh rating as wrong in system info after I installed the DR35 — is the cell faulty?

No. The Wh figure displayed in system info is pulled from EEPROM data the old cell wrote to the BMS, not measured live from the new cell. The DR35 replacement carries a rated 43.2Wh, but until the BIOS runs a full learn cycle, it keeps displaying the previous cell's stored value. Complete one full discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a charge to 100% and the system info figure will update to reflect the new cell.

The fuel gauge reads wildly different percentages on every boot — 47%, then 81%, then 12% — after fitting the replacement DR35.

This is the fuel gauge IC cycling through stale reference points from the old cell's learned discharge curve. The IC has not yet mapped the voltage behaviour of the new Ni-MH cell. Run three consecutive calibration cycles — full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then uninterrupted charge to 100% each time. By the third cycle the IC has enough real data to track the DR35's actual voltage curve and the gauge stabilises.

The DR35 replacement stops charging at around 80% and won't go higher — SENAO laptop on Windows 11.

Check the BIOS power settings before assuming a cell fault. Many SENAO notebooks ship with a charge limit set in firmware — typically 80% — to reduce cell wear during continuous AC use. Open the BIOS, navigate to the power or battery management section, and either disable the charge limit or raise the threshold to 100%. If no such setting exists, check any manufacturer power utility installed in Windows — that utility can impose the same cap outside the BIOS.
