Fits Twinhead SlimNote 700 Series, SlimNote 710CV, and SlimNote 713TV; replaces OEM part numbers DR35, DR35AA, DR35S.
10.8V and 4000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 43.2Wh; matches original pack output for full CPU and display runtime.
Connector type and orientation match OEM layout; installs into the battery slot without modification or adapter.
We bench tested the cell against the SlimNote 710CV motherboard; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no negotiation delay.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after cell swaps.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Twinhead SlimNote 700 Series — 10.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (DR35)

This is a 10.8V, 4000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Twinhead SlimNote 700 Series notebook computers. It fits the SlimNote 710CV and SlimNote 713TV as well as the broader 700 Series line. The OEM part numbers covered are DR35, DR35AA, and DR35S.

  • SlimNote 700 Series platform fit: The 710CV and 713TV share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol as the wider 700 Series. One cell covers all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SlimNote platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge controller reached termination voltage cleanly on the first cycle.
  • Ni-MH conditioning after swap: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that typically appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor after replacing the DR35

The SlimNote BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM tied to the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS compares current readings against that stored data and flags a mismatch as poor health. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is stale EEPROM data from the old battery. Running a full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge completes one learn cycle. After two to three cycles, the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.

SlimNote shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under the combined load of the CPU and display — a voltage cliff specific to Ni-MH cells that have not been calibrated to the fuel gauge IC. The OS fuel gauge was trained on the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's actual remaining capacity. The laptop hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by full uninterrupted charges, and the fuel gauge IC will remap to the new cell's curve — the cutoff point should align with a displayed level below 10%.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SlimNote BIOS shows 0% and "unknown battery" right after I put the new DR35 in — is the cell dead on arrival?

It is not dead. The BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original cell and cannot recognise a new one until it runs a learn cycle. Plug in AC power, let the battery charge uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff. After one complete cycle the BIOS will recognise the cell and display a real percentage.

My SlimNote is showing a completely different Wh rating in system info than the 43.2Wh listed for this battery — why?

The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from EEPROM data the old cell wrote at the factory. The new DR35 cell has not yet overwritten that value. It is a display discrepancy, not a capacity fault. Run two full charge-discharge cycles and the system will update the Wh figure to reflect the actual cell data.

The new battery charges for a while, then the charge indicator stops and the laptop says it is full — but it cuts out well before I expect it to under load. What is happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the SlimNote calibrated its full-charge reference point against the old cell's internal resistance. With a fresh Ni-MH cell, that reference is off, so the charger terminates early relative to the cell's true capacity. Discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted without interruption. Repeat this twice. The fuel gauge IC resets its termination reference, and the charge cycle will reach the correct endpoint near 10.8V terminal voltage.
