Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Paxar 6057 Pathfinder Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (120095)
This 7.4V 2400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Paxar 6057, 6039, and 6032 Pathfinder portable printers, as well as the MN11L2-G and compatible models. It matches the OEM voltage rail and connector layout used across the Pathfinder line. Capacity is 2400mAh (17.76Wh), sourced to match original cell specifications.
- Pathfinder series compatibility: The 6057, 6039, and 6032 Pathfinder models share the same 7.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all three without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Pathfinder unit, confirming BMS recognition, stable voltage delivery to the thermal print head, and consistent paper feed motor current draw under load.
- First-use print sequence: After installing, charge fully and print five test labels before deploying in the field. The Pathfinder's paper feed motor logs a current profile during initial cycles — skipping this step can leave the BMS under-calibrated for peak motor draw, causing unexpected cutoffs during print jobs.
Voltage sag at the thermal head during high-density label printing
The Pathfinder's thermal print head draws a concentrated current burst when printing dense barcodes or full-coverage shipping labels. An aged or partially charged battery can't sustain the voltage spike, and the head temperature drops mid-print. This shows up as faded bands or incomplete lines on the label. Keep the battery above 7.0V before starting high-density print runs — check the battery indicator on the unit before each job batch.
Printer drops Bluetooth connection mid-job at low charge
The Pathfinder's onboard radio module shares the same power rail as the print motor. When battery voltage falls below roughly 6.8V under motor load, the radio doesn't get enough current to hold its connection window. The host device or app sees a timeout and drops the session. This isn't a pairing fault — it's a power floor issue. Recharge the battery to full and reconnect; the radio will re-establish at normal voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Paxar Pathfinder won't start a print job after sitting unused for three weeks — is the battery dead?
Probably not dead, but the cell has self-discharged below the printer's minimum motor-drive voltage. Li-ion cells in the Pathfinder's 7.4V pack drop to around 6.5V or lower after extended storage, and the BMS blocks motor current at that level as a protection measure. Put the battery on charge for a full cycle before attempting to print. If the printer recognises the battery and charges normally, the cell is recoverable — check that the voltage indicator shows at least 7.0V before sending a job.
Labels are printing but the barcode lines look faded or uneven — just replaced the battery, should this happen?
A new cell can produce this if it hasn't been through an initial calibration print sequence. The Pathfinder's thermal head adjusts its burn temperature based on the current profile it sees during early print cycles. A fresh battery sometimes delivers slightly inconsistent voltage until the BMS has logged a few full load cycles. Print five to ten test labels at normal density — output should stabilise by the final few. If fading continues past that point, check the head cleaning contacts and confirm the battery is reading above 7.2V under load.
The paper feed is jamming on the new battery, but it never jammed with the old one — what's happening?
This is a torque issue, not a paper or mechanical fault. The Pathfinder's feed motor requires a specific minimum voltage to generate enough roller pressure for clean paper advancement. If the new battery was installed with a partial charge, the motor may be running below its rated torque threshold. Charge the battery fully, then run the first-use print sequence of five test labels to let the BMS set the correct current profile for the motor. Confirm voltage reads at least 7.4V off the charger before loading paper.
