Fits RTI T3V remote control, replaces OEM part ATB-1700 and 30-210218-17.
3.7V lithium-ion cell with 1800mAh capacity restores full IR output to the T3V remote.
Cylindrical cell slots into the T3V battery compartment with spring contacts at both ends.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted a full charge cycle without early cutoff or fault signaling.
On first install in the T3V, verify positive end faces the spring contact — reversed polarity blocks IR LED trigger completely.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RTI T3V / T3-V+ Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ATB-1700)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1800mAh (6.66Wh), built to replace the original ATB-1700 battery inside the RTI T3V, T3-V, and T3-V+ control remotes. When the original cell loses capacity or fails to hold charge, the remote loses IR output strength and eventually stops responding altogether. This replacement restores full operating voltage to the remote's IR LED circuit and processor.

  • T3V / T3-V / T3-V+ compatibility: All three model variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The ATB-1700 footprint — 50.10 × 36.02 × 8.90mm — fits each without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The protection circuit trips cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff and accepts a full charge without thermal event or voltage spike at the connector.
  • Connector seating on the T3V: The T3V uses a friction-fit connector that can appear seated when it is not. Press the connector firmly until you feel it click into contact — a half-seated connector causes intermittent power loss that looks like a dead battery.

Why the T3V IR signal weakens before the battery reads empty

The T3V's IR LED draws a brief high-current pulse with every button press. As the Li-ion cell ages and internal resistance rises, that pulse causes a momentary voltage sag — even when resting voltage still reads near 3.7V. The processor sees the sag as a low-voltage condition and throttles IR output before the battery gauge shows critical. The result is a remote that appears to have charge but needs to be held closer and closer to the device to trigger a response. Replacing the cell eliminates the sag and restores full IR pulse amplitude.

T3V shows charging but returns to 0% immediately after unplugging

This happens when the Li-ion cell has been deeply discharged below the protection circuit's recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V. The charger sees the circuit as connected and passes current, but the BMS blocks it from reaching the cell itself. Some cells recover if left on charge for 15–30 minutes at a low trickle before the BMS re-engages. If the remote still drops to 0% on unplug, the original cell is unrecoverable and the ATB-1700 replacement is the correct next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

I installed the new ATB-1700 battery and the T3V remote still won't turn on — what did I miss?

The most likely cause is the connector not fully seated — the T3V uses a friction-fit connector that can sit flush to the touch without making electrical contact. Remove the battery, re-seat the connector with firm pressure until it clicks, then reinsert the battery. If the remote still shows no sign of life, place it on charge for 20 minutes first — a deeply discharged new cell occasionally needs a short charge cycle before the BMS allows output.

The T3V remote works, but I have to point it directly at the receiver from a short distance — is the battery causing this?

Yes. When cell voltage sags under the IR LED's pulse load, the remote reduces signal amplitude before the battery indicator shows low. This makes the remote appear functional while the effective range shrinks significantly. Check resting voltage at the battery connector — anything below 3.5V under no load confirms the cell is the cause. Replace the battery and the full IR range returns.

Why are the T3V buttons responding only every second or third press after fitting the new battery?

Intermittent response after a fresh install usually points to a stuck or partially depressed button creating a parasitic drain that pulls the cell voltage down between presses. Run your thumb across every button on the face of the remote to confirm none are physically stuck. If all buttons move freely, check the battery connector seating again — a loose connection causes voltage dropout on each IR pulse, and the processor drops the command rather than firing a weak signal.
