Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oral-B 10000 / 3765 / 3766 / 3767 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Oral-B 10000, 3765, 3766, 3767, and compatible series electric toothbrushes. It fits the oscillating brush mechanism that drives the cleaning cycle. Capacity comes directly from product specifications — 800mAh (2.96Wh).

  • Cross-model fit on the 10000 platform: The 10000, 3765, 3766, and 3767 share the same internal cell form factor, voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol — the same 50.20 × 14.20 × 14.20mm cell runs across all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 10000 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering a protection fault, and the brush motor reached full oscillation speed within the first charge cycle.
  • Charging port moisture check: Dry the charging port completely before docking — water bridging the charging contacts trips the BMS protection circuit. The toothbrush reports this as a dead battery, not a charging fault, so the root cause gets missed.

Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the Oral-B 10000

Most users dock the 10000 after every use rather than letting it fully discharge. Li-ion cells shallow-cycled this way develop voltage drift over time — the BMS recalibrates its state-of-charge estimate against a narrower actual capacity window. The indicator reads full but the cell can no longer deliver current at full brush speed for a full session. Replacing the cell resets this drift entirely, since the new cell has no prior cycle history to skew the BMS estimate.

Brush motor speed dropping before the indicator reaches empty

When the internal cell ages, its internal resistance rises. Under the motor's load the cell voltage sags below what the drive circuit needs before the BMS technically hits cutoff. The result is noticeable speed loss mid-session while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is a voltage-sag fault under load, not a capacity readout error. Fitting a fresh cell brings the voltage under motor load back above 3.5V where the drive circuit maintains full oscillation speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Oral-B 10000 is docked on the charger but the indicator never moves — is the dock dead or the battery?

Dock contacts oxidise from toothpaste and cleaning product residue, which breaks the inductive charging circuit before the battery fails. Wipe the metal contacts on both the dock and the toothbrush base with a dry cloth, then try charging again. If the indicator still doesn't move after 30 minutes on a clean dock, the cell itself has likely dropped below the BMS recovery threshold and needs replacing. A replacement cell that accepts an initial charge will show the indicator advancing within the first charge cycle.

The toothbrush gets noticeably warm during a long brushing session — is that a battery fault?

Some warmth is normal — the motor and discharging cell both generate heat inside a compact sealed housing. If the casing becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, the cell's internal resistance has risen enough that it's dissipating excess energy as heat under motor load rather than delivering it efficiently. At that point the cell is past its usable life. Fit the replacement cell and monitor — surface temperature during normal use should stay below 35°C.

I replaced the battery but the Oral-B 10000 indicator is still showing wrong charge levels — what resets it?

The BMS stores a state-of-charge estimate from the old cell's cycle history, which doesn't clear automatically when the cell is swapped. Run the toothbrush on the new cell until it cuts off from low voltage, then charge it uninterrupted to full — this full discharge-to-charge cycle lets the BMS recalibrate its capacity window against the new cell. After one complete cycle the indicator should track accurately. If it still drifts after two full cycles, check the solder joints on the cell tabs.
