Fits Motorola Moto 360 2nd Gen 2015 smartwatch, replacing OEM part FW3L and SNN5962A.
This 3.8V, 370mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full runtime for display, fitness tracking, and Bluetooth connectivity on the Moto 360 platform.
Connector seats into the watch's internal dock with a single locking tab — orient the contacts toward the charging coil.
We bench-tested this cell in a 2015 Moto 360 unit; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new pack after a full charge cycle from power-off.
After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before wearing — the fuel gauge cannot calibrate without a complete charge from near-zero after a battery swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola Moto 360 2nd 2015 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FW3L / SNN5962A)

This 3.8V, 370mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Motorola Moto 360 2nd Gen 2015 smartwatch. It fits the 42mm round-case model released in 2015 and restores power to the display, heart rate monitor, notifications, and Bluetooth connectivity. Dimensions are 32.80 × 27.45 × 4.25mm — match these before ordering if your watch has been previously repaired.

  • Moto 360 2nd Gen 2015 fit: This generation uses a specific connector orientation and cell footprint tied to the 42mm case. The 2014 first-gen and 2015 46mm variant use different cells — confirm your model number before fitting.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Moto 360 2nd Gen platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC re-established state-of-charge tracking after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap charge protocol: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before wearing it. The fuel gauge IC on this platform cannot set an accurate reference point without one full charge cycle from near-zero following a cell swap.

Why the Moto 360 2nd Gen reads wildly wrong percentages after a battery swap

The Moto 360 2nd Gen uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge by measuring current flow from a known baseline. When you remove the old cell, that baseline is lost. The IC wakes up with the new cell and has no reference, so it reports whatever it last stored — often 0%, 1%, or a random mid-range figure. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. A single full charge cycle from near-zero re-anchors the IC and percentage readings stabilise within 24 hours of normal use.

Magnetic charger not registering after reassembly

The Moto 360 charges through a magnetic pogo-pin cradle that requires the watch to sit flush and centred. If the rear cover was shifted even slightly during reassembly, the charge contacts on the watch body may not align with the cradle pins. Check that the rear cover clicks fully into place around its entire perimeter. Once seated correctly, the watch face should light up within five seconds of cradle contact — if it does not, rotate the watch 180° on the cradle and check again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Moto 360 2nd Gen shows 0% and won't boot after fitting the new battery — is the cell dead?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC lost its charge reference when the old battery was removed, so it has nothing to anchor a reading to. Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and leave it until the display confirms 100%. After one full charge cycle from near-zero, the IC re-calibrates and the watch boots and reads correctly.

The new battery is draining in under a day — my old one lasted two days even when degraded. What's wrong?

Check whether always-on display mode is active and whether continuous heart rate monitoring is enabled. On a 370mAh cell, those two features running together draw significantly more current than the watch's intermittent-poll defaults. Go to Settings → Display and Settings → Heart Rate on the watch, switch always-on off and set HR to auto, then monitor drain over 48 hours. If it still drains fast, check for a background app holding a Bluetooth wake lock in the Wear OS companion app.

Watch stopped pairing with my phone after the battery swap — Bluetooth won't reconnect.

Removing the battery clears the active BLE session and can drop the watch from the phone's paired device list entirely. On your phone, open the Android Wear or Wear OS app, go to the connected device and tap "Forget." Then on the watch, go to Settings → Disconnect & Reset, confirm, and re-pair from scratch through the companion app. The watch MAC address does not change, so the re-pair process takes under two minutes.
