Fits Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 44mm models SM-R910 and SM-R915U, replacing OEM battery GH43-05114A.
This 3.88V, 380mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the same energy density as the original, powering display, heart rate sensor, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Connector is a two-pin pogo contact pad; alignment matters on reassembly to ensure the magnetic charger seats flush against the watch back.
We ran the cell through three full charge cycles on a Watch 5 charger; the fuel gauge IC initialized correctly and held calibration across discharge.
After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge cannot calibrate without a full charge from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 44mm — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GH43-05114A)

This 3.88V, 380mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 44mm. It fits SM-R910, SM-R915, and SM-R915U variants. The OEM part numbers GH43-05114A and EB-BR910ABY both cross to this cell.

  • SM-R910 and SM-R915 series fitment: These variants share the same internal chassis, cell footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. The 25.30 x 23.30 x 5.50mm cell dimensions are consistent across the 44mm platform regardless of cellular or Wi-Fi-only configuration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on the SM-R910 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC registered correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap charge cycle: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and bring it to 100% before use. The fuel gauge IC on the Watch 5 loses its reference point during cell removal and cannot calibrate state-of-charge accurately without a complete charge cycle from near-zero.

Why the Watch 5 fuel gauge reads incorrectly after a cell swap

The Galaxy Watch 5 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge by measuring current flow over time. When the cell is removed, that running count resets to zero or an undefined state. The IC then has no valid reference to calculate remaining capacity against. A full charge from near-zero gives the IC a known endpoint, letting it recalibrate and report accurate percentages again.

Watch not pairing to phone after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts power to the BLE radio mid-session. The watch loses its active pairing session data held in volatile memory, and the Galaxy Wearable app on the phone still expects the old session to be active. The fix is to open the Galaxy Wearable app, remove the watch, and re-pair it from scratch. Do not attempt a Bluetooth toggle — a full re-pair through the app is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Watch 5 shows 0% and won't turn on right after I put the new battery in — is the cell dead?

The cell is not dead. The fuel gauge IC lost its charge reference when the old battery was removed, so it has no valid state-of-charge data and defaults to 0%. Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and leave it until the display confirms 100%. After that first full cycle, the IC recalibrates and the percentage reading stabilises.

The new battery is draining in a single day — my old one used to last two or three days. What's wrong?

Always-on display combined with continuous heart rate monitoring is the most common cause. Check the Watch 5 settings and confirm AOD is off and heart rate monitoring is set to every 10 minutes rather than continuous. If drain stays heavy after one week, the sensor current draw is higher on a new cell's impedance profile — this normalises after several charge cycles as the cell settles.

The magnetic charger isn't registering at all after I reassembled the watch — the charging indicator never appears.

Reassembly can shift the internal charge contact plate by a fraction of a millimetre, enough to break the magnetic charger's connection. Remove the watch from the charger, inspect the charge contacts on the watch underside for any debris or adhesive residue, then reseat the watch on the charger and apply light pressure. If the indicator still does not appear, open the watch casing and confirm the contact plate ribbon is fully seated at its connector.
