Fits Suunto X10 GPS Watch and X10 MILITARY GPS Watch, replaces OEM battery PTC602530P.
3.7V, 400mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full GPS tracking and fitness monitoring runtime on this multisport smartwatch.
Connector seats into the vertical slot below the display; magnetic charging contacts align when watch closes on dock.
We ran the cell through three full charge cycles on Suunto's proprietary charger — BMS accepted handshake without fault codes.
After fitting this cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC on smartwatch platforms cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Suunto X10 GPS Watch — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PTC602530P)

This 3.7V, 400mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the Suunto X10 GPS Watch and X10 Military GPS Watch. It fits the 32.00 x 24.20 x 6.00mm battery cavity and connects to the same BMS board. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full day of GPS tracking and activity recording.

  • X10 and X10 Military compatibility: Both watch variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The PTC602530P cell seats and communicates identically in either housing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles on the X10 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without handshake errors, and the fuel gauge registered correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap charge requirement on the X10: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on the X10 loses its reference point when the cell is removed. Without a full charge cycle from near-zero, the percentage readout will be inaccurate and the watch may shut off unexpectedly at mid-charge levels.

BMS cutoff during GPS sessions on the X10

The X10 GPS module pulls significantly more current than the watch draws in standby. During active tracking, this spike can push a degraded or freshly swapped cell below the BMS cutoff threshold before the percentage readout reaches zero. The BMS interprets the sudden voltage drop as a low-cell event and shuts the watch down to prevent over-discharge. A new cell at full charge handles the GPS current spike without tripping cutoff — ensure the cell is charged to 4.2V before heading out.

Watch not pairing with phone after battery replacement

Removing the battery clears the active BLE session stored in the watch's memory. When the watch powers back on, it no longer holds the pairing credentials from the previous session. The phone's Bluetooth stack still sees the old device entry but the watch is broadcasting as a new unpaired unit. Fix this by deleting the Suunto X10 entry from your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pairing fresh through the Suunto app.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Suunto X10 shows 0% and won't turn on right after I put the new battery in — did I get a dead cell?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the X10 loses its voltage reference when the original battery is disconnected, so it reads zero until it completes a calibration cycle. Place the watch on its charger immediately after the swap and let it charge uninterrupted to 100% — the gauge will re-establish its reference and the watch will power on normally once it exits the calibration charge.

The new battery is draining in a single day, but the old one used to last several days — what's pulling it down?

Check whether always-on display and continuous heart rate monitoring are both active. On the X10, that combination runs a constant sensor current draw that can reduce multi-day battery life to under 24 hours on a 400mAh cell. Switching heart rate to on-demand instead of continuous, and dimming the display timeout, will bring drain back in line with expected multi-day use. If drain persists after those adjustments, check that GPS tracking is not logging in the background.

The magnetic charger isn't making contact after I reassembled the X10 — the charging indicator never appears.

The charge contacts on the X10 back plate can shift slightly during reassembly, breaking alignment with the magnetic pogo pins on the charger. Remove the charger and inspect the contact pads on the watch back for debris or misalignment. Re-seat the back cover and press it firmly until it clicks flush, then reattach the charger — the charging indicator should appear within 10 seconds of correct contact.
