Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

FitBit Versa 2 / FB507 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LSSP281928)
This 3.85V, 160mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the FitBit Versa 2 (FB507). It fits the watch's internal bay directly, restoring power to the display, heart rate sensor, and BLE radio. Dimensions are 28.00 × 17.60 × 2.80mm — match these before fitting if your unit has been repaired before.
- Versa 2 / FB507 fitment: Both model references run the same power rail at 3.85V nominal with a shared connector pinout and BMS handshake. One cell covers the full variant range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Versa 2 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags. Charge acceptance held steady from near-zero through to full capacity, and the fuel gauge IC updated correctly across the cycle.
- Post-swap first charge: After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on the Versa 2 loses its charge reference during cell removal — it cannot recalibrate without a complete charge cycle from near-zero. Skipping this step causes the percentage display to read inaccurately for days.
Why the Versa 2 fuel gauge reads wrong after a cell swap
The Versa 2 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge by measuring current in and out over time. When you remove the old cell, the IC loses its accumulated reference entirely. It has no way to know the new cell's state of charge when power is restored. Until you run one complete charge cycle — from near-zero to 100% on the charger — the percentage readout is essentially a guess. After that first full cycle, the IC re-anchors its model and the display stabilises.
Magnetic charge contacts not connecting after reassembly
If the watch sits on the charger but shows no charging indicator, the rear contacts have likely shifted during reassembly. The Versa 2's charging pads are small and the back cover alignment directly affects contact pressure. Remove the watch from the charger, reseat the back cover firmly until all clips engage, then place it on the charger again. You should see the charging icon appear within five seconds — if not, clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and check that no adhesive residue is bridging the pads.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Versa 2 won't pair with my phone after I swapped the battery — Bluetooth just keeps spinning. What happened?
Removing the battery cuts power to the BLE radio mid-session, which orphans the active pairing record on both the watch and the phone. The watch's stored bond key no longer matches what the phone holds. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget the Versa 2 entirely, then re-pair through the Fitbit app from scratch — do not just toggle Bluetooth off and on.
The new battery drains from full to empty in about a day — the old one used to last four or five days. Why?
A new cell at its first charge cycle has not yet reached its full charge acceptance, so the stated 160mAh may not be fully available until two or three cycles in. More likely, always-on display mode combined with continuous heart rate monitoring is running at full draw — that combination pulls significantly more current than the standard watch-face-only mode. Check the Fitbit app settings and disable always-on display, then set heart rate monitoring to "auto" rather than continuous. If drain persists past three full charge cycles, measure resting voltage with a multimeter — a healthy cell at full charge should sit at 4.35V.
The heart rate sensor seems to be working harder since the swap and the watch feels warmer than before. Is that normal?
For the first week after a cell swap, the heart rate sensor's current draw profile can appear elevated because the new cell's internal impedance is slightly higher than a broken-in cell — the sensor circuit compensates by drawing marginally more current. This settles as the cell completes its first few cycles and impedance drops. The warmth you feel is normal at this stage and not a sign of a fault. If the watch still feels warm after five full charge cycles, check that the back cover is seated flush — a lifted edge reduces heat dissipation from the case.
