Fits Logitech Fit model 984-001362 and replaces OEM battery 533-000146.
7.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers rated capacity for full speaker runtime restoration.
Connector slides straight in with alignment key; locking tab secures the pack flush.
We bench-tested the BMS on a 2A charger; cell accepted charge without fault codes.
On first use, discharge the speaker fully before topping off — shallow cycling accelerates capacity fade in this Li-ion pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (533-000146)

This 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Logitech Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 and compatible models including 984-001362 and 084-000845. It matches the OEM cell dimensions at 78.40 × 40.40 × 19.00mm and slots into the same battery cavity without modification. Voltage and capacity align directly with the original Logitech specification.

  • Megaboom 3 platform fit: The Megaboom 3 and its variant SKUs share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell covers the full compatible range listed above without adapter cables or firmware changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the Megaboom 3. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, balanced the cells correctly, and the fuel gauge tracked accurately from 100% down to the low-battery cutoff.
  • Monthly discharge discipline for Megaboom 3 users: If this speaker sits on your desk charging between sessions, let it drop below 20% at least once a month before plugging back in. Constant top-off charging without a full discharge cycle causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on the Li-ion cell inside.

Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty

When a Li-ion cell ages, its internal resistance climbs. The Megaboom 3 amplifier pulls a sharp current spike at high volume, and a high-resistance cell cannot sustain the voltage rail under that load. The terminal voltage sags below the amplifier's clean-operating threshold before the fuel gauge reads zero — so you hear clipping and distortion while the indicator still shows charge remaining. Replacing the cell with a fresh 7.4V pack restores the voltage headroom the amplifier needs at peak draw.

Speaker won't wake from USB charge after sitting unused for weeks

A deeply discharged Li-ion pack can fall below the minimum acceptance voltage for USB-C PD negotiation — typically around 2.5V per cell. When that happens, the charger cannot initiate a handshake and the speaker appears completely dead on the cable. Try a different USB-C cable and adapter rated at 5V/1A minimum, hold the power button for 10 seconds while connected, and give it 30 minutes before checking for a charging indicator. If the cell has not self-discharged past the BMS recovery threshold, it will trickle-charge back up to a functional voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Megaboom 3 shows full charge but the audio cuts out after a short session — is that the battery?

Yes, and it's a specific failure. Shallow cycling — charging the speaker before it drops below 50% — causes fuel gauge drift over time, so the indicator reads full while the actual cell capacity is significantly lower. The speaker runs out of usable energy well before the display suggests it should. Replace the battery and let the new pack complete at least one full discharge per month to keep the gauge calibrated.

Bluetooth keeps dropping when I push the volume past 75% on the new battery — what's causing that?

The Megaboom 3 amplifier and Bluetooth radio both draw current simultaneously, and at high volume the amplifier current spike is large enough to sag the battery voltage rail. If the combined draw pulls terminal voltage below the radio module's operating floor, the Bluetooth stack resets mid-stream. Check that the replacement cell is fully charged to 8.4V before testing at high volume — a partially charged pack has less headroom to absorb that peak draw without sagging.

The speaker gets noticeably warm on the side during long play sessions — is that a battery problem?

It's both the amplifier and the battery discharging under load. The Megaboom 3 housing is fabric over plastic, which doesn't dissipate heat quickly. Amplifier waste heat and Li-ion discharge heat combine in that enclosed cavity. It's normal within limits — warm to the touch is fine, hot enough to be uncomfortable is not. If the speaker feels excessively hot, pause playback for 10–15 minutes and avoid placing it fabric-side down on insulating surfaces like a bed or sofa cushion during extended sessions.
