Fits Philips Fidelio E6 and Fidelio HTL9100 wireless speakers; replaces OEM part HD104050E6.
7.4V, 2500mAh lithium-polymer cell powers extended cordless playback on both portable speaker models.
Connector seats into the battery cavity with positive contact pins aligned; locking tab holds flush.
Bench test showed clean BMS startup with no fault codes; discharge curve tracked within spec.
On first charge after install, let the speaker run at moderate volume for two cycles before sustained high-volume use — the Li-polymer BMS needs load cycling to calibrate fuel gauge accuracy.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips Fidelio E6 / HTL9100 — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HD104050E6)

This is a 7.4V, 2500mAh (18.5Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Philips Fidelio E6 wireless speaker and the Fidelio HTL9100 soundbar system. Both units run on the same cell format and connector, so this pack covers either device. Use the OEM part number HD104050E6 to confirm you have the right battery before ordering.

  • Fidelio E6 and HTL9100 compatibility: Both the E6 speaker and HTL9100 share the same 7.4V dual-cell Li-Polymer pack, identical connector pinout, and matching BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between units does not require firmware changes or adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Fidelio E6 platform. The onboard BMS accepted the cell, balanced both internal cells correctly, and reported accurate state-of-charge to the speaker's fuel gauge from the first cycle.
  • Monthly discharge cycle on desk-use speakers: If the Fidelio E6 sits on a desk and gets topped off constantly, run it down below 20% at least once a month before recharging. Continuous shallow cycling without a full discharge causes fuel gauge drift — the speaker will report full charge but cut out earlier than expected.

Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty on the Fidelio E6

As the Li-Polymer cells discharge toward their lower voltage threshold, the pack's output voltage sags under amplifier load. The Fidelio E6 amplifier draws a spike of current at higher volumes, and if the cell voltage drops below roughly 6.8V under that load, the amp clips before the battery indicator flags low. The speaker sounds distorted or compressed even though the on-screen gauge still shows charge remaining. If distortion appears consistently at the same volume level, check the actual cell voltage with a multimeter at the charge port — below 7.0V at rest signals a degraded or end-of-life cell.

USB charging not starting after the Fidelio E6 battery was left fully drained

If a Fidelio E6 is left discharged for several weeks, the Li-Polymer cells can drop below the minimum acceptance voltage that the USB charging circuit requires to begin a charge session. The speaker will show no response — no LED, no charge indicator — when plugged in. Connect the unit to a 5V USB power source and hold the power button for 10 seconds to trigger the BMS pre-charge recovery routine, which trickle-charges the cell back above the threshold. If the LED still does not respond after two attempts, measure cell voltage directly — a reading below 5.5V across the pack means the BMS has locked the cell out for safety and the battery needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Fidelio E6 shows full charge on the indicator but the audio cuts out after about an hour of play — is the new battery faulty?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a faulty cell. When a battery has been shallow-cycled for months — charged before it drops below 50% — the gauge loses calibration and reads higher than the actual state of charge. Run the new battery down to below 20% without interruption, then charge it fully in one unbroken session. After two or three full cycles the indicator and actual capacity will re-sync.

Bluetooth keeps dropping when the volume is pushed past about 70% on the Fidelio E6 — the battery looks fine otherwise.

At high volume the amplifier pulls a short current spike that combines with the Bluetooth radio draw. If the cell has any internal resistance — common in an aged pack — voltage sags under that combined load and the radio loses enough power to drop the connection. We saw this on the bench when testing a partially degraded cell at high output. Replace the battery and confirm the resting cell voltage sits above 7.2V before first use; a fresh HD104050E6 pack eliminated the drop-outs in our test cycle.

The Fidelio E6 gets noticeably warm on the back panel during long play sessions — is that normal or a battery issue?

Some warmth is expected — the amplifier and battery both generate heat during extended discharge, and the E6's compact housing traps it. It becomes a concern if the unit is too hot to hold comfortably, which points to the battery discharging at a higher internal resistance than normal, converting more energy to heat rather than audio output. Check whether the warmth appears earlier in a session than it used to — that's a sign of increased internal resistance in an aging cell. If the housing is running hot within the first 30 minutes of play at moderate volume, replace the battery and monitor the surface temperature on the first full discharge.
