Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Teufel Rockster Go 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-1S2P)
This 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original INR18650-1S2P cell pack inside the Teufel Rockster Go 2 portable Bluetooth speaker. It restores wireless audio playback when the factory cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.
- Rockster Go 2 cell format: The Rockster Go 2 runs an 18650-based 1S2P configuration — two cells in parallel at 3.7V nominal. That parallel arrangement doubles capacity while keeping the voltage rail at 3.7V, which the speaker's amplifier and Bluetooth module both require for stable output.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Rockster Go 2 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — charge current accepted at the expected rate and protection cutoffs triggered at both the low-voltage floor and over-current threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after fitting: After installing a new cell pack, run the speaker down to the low-battery warning before the first recharge. The Rockster Go 2's fuel gauge calibrates its empty reference point on that first deep discharge — skipping it causes the indicator to read inaccurately from day one.
Audio distortion before the battery indicator reaches empty on the Rockster Go 2
As the 18650 cells age, internal resistance rises. Under the combined current draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio at high volume, cell voltage sags below the amplifier's clean-operation threshold before the fuel gauge shows critical. The amplifier clips under that sag — you hear distortion, not actual speaker damage. A fresh 5200mAh pack with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail stable under the same load, pushing distortion onset back to genuinely low charge levels. If distortion appears early on a new pack, confirm charge voltage reached 4.20V per cell before use.
Rockster Go 2 won't wake from USB-C after sitting unused for weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month under storage. If the Rockster Go 2 sits long enough, the pack drops below the USB-C Power Delivery minimum acceptance voltage — the charger handshake fails and the speaker appears completely dead. The BMS blocks charge input to protect the cells, so a standard USB-C cable does nothing. Connect a USB source capable of pre-charge trickle current, or leave the cable seated for 15–20 minutes before attempting a power-on — the BMS will re-enable charge input once cell voltage climbs above approximately 2.5V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rockster Go 2 shows a full charge bar but the audio cuts out after about an hour of play — is the new battery faulty?
This is fuel gauge drift, not a faulty cell. It happens when the speaker is repeatedly topped off before dropping below 50%, so the gauge loses its reference points for full and empty. Run the new pack down to the low-battery warning in one session, then charge it fully without interruption. That single calibration cycle resets the gauge and the reported charge level will track actual capacity correctly after that.
Bluetooth keeps dropping specifically at high volume on the Rockster Go 2 — the connection was solid at low levels.
High volume pulls peak current from both the amplifier and the Bluetooth radio simultaneously. If cell internal resistance is elevated — common in a degraded original pack — voltage sags under that combined spike and the radio momentarily loses enough voltage to hold its link. A fresh 5200mAh INR18650-1S2P pack with lower internal resistance sustains the voltage rail through those peaks. If drops still occur after fitting the new battery, check that the connector is fully seated — a partial connection adds resistance and reproduces the same sag.
The Rockster Go 2 feels noticeably warm through the fabric housing during long outdoor sessions — is the battery overheating?
Heat during extended play is a combination of two sources: the Class D amplifier generates its own thermal output, and the Li-ion cells discharge heat as they deliver sustained current. In a fabric-enclosed housing, that heat has limited paths out. The BMS on this pack will trigger an over-temperature cutoff before the cells reach a damaging state — if the speaker shuts down on hot days, move it out of direct sun and allow a few minutes before restarting. Operating above 35°C ambient accelerates capacity fade, so shade the enclosure when ambient temperatures are high.
