Fits CEMB DWA 1000 wheel balancer; replaces OEM battery part number CGA103450A.
Delivers 7.4V at 3600mAh (26.64Wh) — sufficient for extended measurement sessions without mid-test shutdowns.
Accepts single-pin connector with flat blade terminal; orientation locked by keyed slot on pack housing.
Tested on bench at full discharge load; BMS stayed live through sustained sensor draw without dropout events.
After install, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument menu before field deployment — the balancer maps battery state during calibration, and skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CEMB DWA 1000 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CGA103450A)

This 7.4V 3600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the CEMB DWA 1000 portable wheel balancer. It fits the wireless handheld unit used on the shop floor for vehicle wheel alignment and balancing procedures. Capacity is sourced from the product data at 26.64Wh — not estimated from web specs.

  • DWA 1000 platform fit: The DWA 1000 uses the CGA103450A cell format and a specific connector orientation tied to its BMS handshake. This pack matches that footprint, voltage rail, and communication line so the instrument recognises the new cell without error flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through power-on, sensor initialisation, and sustained balancing sessions. The BMS held stable through the brief current spike at probe power-up — the point where worn packs typically trip and shut the unit down.
  • Post-install calibration step: After fitting this pack, run a full calibration cycle through the DWA 1000 instrument menu before taking it to the shop floor. The unit maps battery state during that sequence — skip it and the low-battery warning will trigger early on your first real job.

Why the DWA 1000 cuts out at the moment the wheel sensor initialises

When the DWA 1000 powers up its wheel sensor module, there is a sharp inrush current draw in the first two seconds. A degraded cell can hold voltage at rest but collapses under that brief load spike. The BMS reads the voltage drop as a fault condition and shuts the pack down to protect the cell. A fresh pack with healthy internal resistance handles that spike without the voltage dip crossing the BMS cutoff threshold.

DWA 1000 shows a charged indicator but shuts off partway through a balancing run

This happens when the cell's state-of-charge indicator reads surface voltage rather than load voltage. At rest, an ageing cell can sit at 7.2V and show full — but under the sustained draw of an active balancing session, voltage sags below the cutoff point and the instrument shuts down. The display percentage is recalibrating to the new cell's voltage curve after a pack swap, which is normal for the first one or two full cycles. Let the pack discharge to the automatic shutoff point and recharge fully twice to let the instrument settle its readings.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DWA 1000 won't turn on at all after the battery sat in the unit for several months — is the pack dead?

Most likely the BMS has entered sleep mode after the cell self-discharged below the recovery voltage threshold, typically around 2.5V per cell. The protection circuit locks the pack out to prevent cell damage, and the instrument sees no voltage at the connector. Place the pack in a compatible charger for 15–20 minutes — if the cell is above the hard-dead threshold the charger will wake the BMS and begin a recovery charge. If the charger shows no activity at all after 30 minutes, the cell has discharged too far and the pack will need replacing.

Readings on the DWA 1000 reset or jump mid-session without any warning — what's causing that?

This is a voltage dropout under sustained sensor load, not a software glitch. When the battery can no longer hold a stable rail voltage during a full balancing sequence, the instrument's processor momentarily loses clean power and resets its active measurement. The cell may still show enough charge to power the display, but load voltage is dropping below the processor's operating floor. Check the battery voltage under load by starting a measurement cycle — if it reads below 6.8V during active use, the pack needs replacing.

The DWA 1000 shuts off every time I connect it to a PC for data transfer — but it runs fine otherwise.

USB data transfer adds a secondary current draw on top of the instrument's normal operating load. A cell with reduced capacity can handle one load at a time but the combined draw pulls voltage below the BMS cutoff point. This is a common failure signature of a cell that has lost roughly 20–30% of its usable capacity — it passes basic power-on tests but can't sustain dual loads. Fit a fresh pack and confirm the transfer completes with the new cell before writing off the USB port or cable.
