Fits GE Druck DPI 610 and DPI 615 pressure calibrators; replaces OEM part 191-126.
7.2V 4500mAh Ni-MH pack delivers sustained current draw during probe initialization and multi-point calibration cycles.
Connector slides into side slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab engages flush against instrument body.
We ran full discharge cycles on both models; BMS held voltage flat until cutoff, no mid-cycle sag.
After installation, run one complete calibration cycle through the instrument menu before field deployment—the DPI 610 maps battery state during calibration, and skipping this resets low-battery warnings on first measurement.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GE Druck DPI 610 / DPI 615 — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (191-126)

This is a 7.2V 4500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the GE Druck DPI 610 and DPI 615 portable pressure calibrators. It uses OEM part number 191-126 and fits the same bay as the original pack. Voltage and form factor match the instrument's internal power requirements exactly.

  • DPI 610 and DPI 615 compatibility: Both instruments share the same battery bay geometry, connector pin-out, and 7.2V supply rail. The BMS handshake on each model responds to the same charge termination signal, so one pack covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the DPI 610's initialisation sequence and monitored BMS behaviour during sensor load. The pack held voltage within spec across sustained pressure measurement cycles and passed charge termination without fault flags.
  • First-use calibration cycle: After fitting this pack, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument menu before taking it into the field. The DPI 610 maps battery state during that sequence. Skipping it causes the low-battery indicator to trigger early on the first measurement session, even when the pack is fully charged.

BMS lockout after the DPI 610 sat unused in a carry case for months

Ni-MH cells self-discharge continuously in storage. If the instrument sat long enough, the pack voltage drops below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 5.0–5.4V for a 6-cell 7.2V pack. At that point the BMS enters sleep mode and blocks both charge and discharge. The fix is a slow trickle charge at 0.1C through a compatible Ni-MH charger for 30–60 minutes to nudge the cell voltage back above the recovery floor. Once the BMS wakes, normal charging resumes.

Pressure readings resetting or dropping during a logging session

This is a voltage dropout issue, not a sensor fault. Under sustained sensor load, a degraded or partially charged Ni-MH pack can sag below the DPI 610's minimum operating voltage, causing the instrument to reset mid-log without a full power-off event. The symptom looks like a data gap or a sudden return to zero on the reading. Charge the pack fully before a logging session and check that terminal voltage sits at or above 7.2V under load before connecting the pressure module.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DPI 610 powers on fine but shuts off the moment I connect the pressure module — is that the battery?

Yes. The pressure module draws a sharp current spike at initialisation, and a low or degraded Ni-MH pack can't sustain the voltage through that transient. The BMS reads the sag as an overcurrent event and cuts output. Charge the pack fully, confirm terminal voltage is at or above 7.2V before connecting the module, then retry.

The new pack won't take a charge after the instrument sat in storage — the charger light never turns green.

The Ni-MH cells have self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold, so the BMS is blocking the charge circuit entirely. Connect the pack to a Ni-MH charger that supports a 0.1C trickle or recovery mode and leave it for 30–60 minutes. Once cell voltage climbs above roughly 5.4V, the BMS wakes and normal charge resumes.

The DPI 610 cuts out during USB data transfer to a PC even though the battery indicator showed three bars.

USB transfer adds a combined load — instrument processor, display, and USB controller all drawing simultaneously — that exceeds what a partially charged or aged Ni-MH pack sustains cleanly. The voltage bar display on the DPI 610 is a stepped indicator, not a precise state-of-charge reading, so three bars can still mean only 60–70% actual capacity. Charge the pack fully before any transfer session and verify terminal voltage reads 7.2V or above before connecting the USB cable.
