Fits Teltonika GH5200, GH3000, GH4000, MH2000 GNSS receivers; replaces OEM battery pack.
3.7V 1200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 4.44Wh; sustains extended fieldwork between charging cycles.
Connector slides into receiver slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against housing.
We bench-tested this pack with a GH5200 simulator rig under sustained GNSS acquisition load; BMS held steady at voltage with no early cutoff.
After installation, run the instrument's full calibration routine before deploying to the field — this maps battery state in firmware and prevents premature low-battery alerts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Teltonika GH5200 / GH3000 / GH4000 / MH2000 — 3.7V Li-ion 1200mAh Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the internal pack in the Teltonika GH5200, GH3000, GH4000, and MH2000 GNSS receivers. These are handheld geodetic instruments used for high-precision GPS/GLONASS data collection in the field. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify against your existing pack before ordering.

  • GH/MH series GNSS receiver fit: The GH5200, GH3000, GH4000, and MH2000 share the same battery bay geometry and 3.7V single-cell architecture. The BMS on each model monitors cell voltage directly — swapping to a pack with a mismatched protection circuit trips a battery fault on boot, so the replacement cell and protection board must match the original discharge curve.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through GNSS acquisition loads — the sustained draw during satellite lock and the brief current spikes when the RF front-end initialises. The BMS held cutoff thresholds consistent across five charge-discharge cycles, with no false low-voltage trips during acquisition.
  • Post-install calibration before field deployment: After fitting this pack, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument's system menu before taking it into the field. The GH series maps battery state during calibration — skip this step and the instrument will report premature low-battery warnings during your first data-collection session, even with a full charge on the new cell.

GH5200 shutting down mid-survey during continuous GNSS logging

The GH5200 draws a sustained current load during active satellite tracking, and the drain spikes further when the receiver switches between constellation modes or logs a dense point cloud. An aged cell with elevated internal resistance will sag below the BMS cutoff threshold under this load even when the displayed charge level reads 30–40%. The instrument interprets the voltage sag as a fault and cuts power to protect the cell. A new pack with lower internal resistance maintains voltage above the 3.0V cutoff threshold throughout the logging session.

GH3000 or GH4000 won't charge after sitting unused in a carry case for months

Li-ion cells left discharged for extended periods drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the protection circuit locks out charging to prevent unsafe recovery attempts. The charger will show no activity or a fault light when connected. Many BMS circuits can be re-initialised by applying a slow pre-charge at 0.1C (approximately 120mA for this 1200mAh pack) for 10–20 minutes to nudge the cell voltage back above 2.9V, which releases the lockout. If the instrument's internal charger does not support pre-charge mode, use an external Li-ion charger with a recovery or recovery-charge function set to 3.0V as the target before returning the pack to the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GH5200 powers on fine but cuts out the moment it starts logging a track — the battery shows half full. What's causing this?

This is a voltage sag failure, not a capacity failure. Under the sustained draw of active GNSS logging, an aged or degraded cell drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the resting voltage reads mid-range. The instrument shuts down to protect the cell — it's not a firmware fault. Fit a new pack and run the calibration cycle through the system menu before your next field session so the instrument correctly maps the new cell's voltage curve.

The GH4000 powers on and acquires satellites, but position readings start drifting or resetting randomly during a long data-collection session — the battery indicator looks fine throughout.

Intermittent voltage dropout under sustained sensor load is the cause. The RF front-end and logging processor together draw more current than the display circuit alone, and a cell with rising internal resistance sags just enough under that combined load to cause a momentary processor reset — without triggering the low-battery indicator. The display voltage recovers instantly, so the indicator never catches it. Check the cell voltage under load with a multimeter at the battery terminals during active logging; a healthy cell should hold above 3.5V. If it dips below 3.3V under load, replace the pack.

The GH5200 turns on and connects to the PC fine, but shuts off partway through transferring data via USB — nothing looks wrong before it dies.

USB data transfer adds a second draw on top of the processor and RF circuits — the combined load is higher than field operation alone. A cell near end-of-life cannot sustain the voltage under this combined draw and the BMS cuts out. This typically happens when the pack is below 50% charge. Charge the pack fully before any USB transfer session, and confirm the cell holds above 3.6V at rest before connecting the cable. If shutdowns continue with a full charge, the cell has lost too much capacity and needs replacement.
