Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

XP Deus WS1 / WS2 / WS3 / WS4 Wireless Headphones — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CP-XPWS)
This is a 3.7V, 700mAh lithium-polymer battery for the XP Deus WS1, WS2, WS3, and WS4 wireless headphone modules. These headphones act as the audio receiver in the XP Deus metal detector system — without a functional battery, the wireless link between the control unit and headphones drops entirely. Dimensions are 51.50 × 20.20 × 7.00mm, matching the original cell footprint.
- WS1–WS4 headphone compatibility: All four WS variants use the same battery footprint, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across the series, so a single cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a WS1 module. The BMS accepted the pack without fault flags, held stable voltage under the audio receiver load, and the wireless pairing with the control box stayed consistent throughout.
- Post-install initialisation on WS headphones: After fitting the new cell, charge the headphone module to full before pairing it with the detector. The WS modules track battery state from the first pairing handshake — skipping a full charge before that first sync causes the battery indicator on the control unit to read incorrectly for the first several sessions.
Why the WS headphone module loses the wireless link mid-session as the battery ages
The XP Deus wireless link between the control unit and WS headphones requires a sustained, stable voltage from the headphone battery. As a lithium-polymer cell ages, its internal resistance rises. Under the continuous RF receiver load, voltage sags below the threshold the WS module needs to maintain the 2.4GHz link — and the connection drops even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. The cell isn't flat; it just can't hold voltage under load anymore. Replacing the cell restores the stable voltage rail the RF module depends on.
WS module powers on but the control unit shows it as unpaired or offline
This happens when a freshly installed or long-stored cell sits below approximately 3.5V — the BMS enters a low-voltage protection state and limits output current. The WS module appears to boot, but it can't generate enough power to complete the RF handshake with the detector's control unit. Place the headphones on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to pair. Once the cell recovers above 3.6V, the BMS releases the current limit and the pairing sequence completes normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My WS1 headphones show as connected on the control unit but keep dropping out during a sweep — is that the battery?
Yes. A worn cell in the WS module holds nominal voltage at rest but sags under the sustained RF receiver draw mid-sweep, causing the wireless link to drop intermittently. The control unit reads it as a connection fault, not a battery fault. The tell is that it drops more often in cold weather or after an hour of use when the cell is warmer. Replace the cell and charge it fully before the next session.
The WS module won't charge — the LED doesn't light at all when I plug it in.
A lithium-polymer cell left discharged for months can fall below the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.5V, and the charger won't initiate a charge cycle because the BMS blocks it as a safety measure. Try a different USB cable and port first to rule out a supply issue. If the LED still won't light, the cell may need a brief pre-charge boost to recover above 3.0V before the BMS allows a normal charge — a replacement cell avoids this entirely and charges normally from the first connection.
After fitting a new battery, the control unit's headphone battery indicator jumps around or reads full even when the headphones feel warm and have been running for hours.
The XP Deus control unit maps headphone battery state during the first full charge-discharge cycle after a new cell is installed. If the headphones were paired before completing that first full charge, the indicator starts from a miscalibrated baseline and reads inconsistently. Charge the WS module to 100%, then run it through one complete session until it reaches a low-battery warning, then charge fully again — after that cycle the indicator stabilises and tracks the new cell accurately.
