Fits Lenovo Tab E7 TB-7104F tablet and replaces OEM part L18D1P31.
3.85V, 2650mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers full charge cycle capacity for daily use.
Connector seats flat against the battery contact strip with single locking tab.
We bench-tested the cell in the Tab E7 charging circuit; BMS accepted negotiation cleanly.
After installation, discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration against the new cell and clears inaccurate percentage display after swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo TAB E7 (TB-7104F) — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L18D1P31)

This is a 3.85V, 2650mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo TAB E7 tablet (TB-7104F). It replaces OEM part L18D1P31 — the original power cell in this 7-inch Android tablet. It matches the original cell's voltage, physical footprint (71.00 × 59.50 × 3.70mm), and connector pinout.

  • TB-7104F fitment: The TAB E7 ships as a single hardware revision under the TB-7104F model code. The battery connects via a shared flex connector and BMS pinout — there are no sub-variants requiring a different cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a TB-7104F unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without triggering a fault state, and the charge IC ramped to full without thermal cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery swap.

TAB E7 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the degraded old cell. The voltage floor it expects no longer matches the new cell's discharge curve. Under combined display and WiFi load, the tablet sees a voltage drop it interprets as empty — and cuts off. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the gauge re-anchors to the new cell and the early shutoff stops.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement on the TAB E7

The TAB E7's charge IC uses a negotiation handshake on the first accepted charge cycle to confirm cell parameters before enabling higher charge rates. A brand-new cell that has not completed one full charge is treated conservatively — the IC defaults to standard 5V charging until it has a baseline. Plug into the original Lenovo charger and let the first charge run uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable. Fast charge availability is typically restored from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TAB E7 shows 60% battery but shuts off without warning — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the TAB E7 is calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, and the new cell has a different discharge profile. The tablet reads a voltage it thinks is critical and shuts down even though capacity remains. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that single cycle re-anchors the gauge to the new cell and stops the premature shutoff.

The battery percentage on my TAB E7 drops from 100% to 70% within the first few minutes of use after the swap — what's happening?

This is fuel gauge drift — the IC hasn't mapped the new cell's actual capacity yet and is misreading the early part of the discharge curve as a steep drop. It typically self-corrects over the first two charge cycles. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After two cycles, the percentage display tracks accurately against real remaining capacity.

Fast charging stopped working on my TAB E7 after fitting the replacement battery — the charger is the same one I always used.

The TAB E7 charge IC defaults to standard 5V input on the first cycle with a new cell — it withholds higher charge rates until it has confirmed cell parameters from one complete charge. This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the battery or charger. Connect the original Lenovo charger and allow the first charge to run uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging mid-cycle. Fast charge should resume from the second cycle onward.
