Fits Prestigio Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo tablet, replaces OEM part 3871A2.
3.7V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full capacity on this 7-inch Android slate.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab alignment.
We charged this cell in the factory test rig; BMS accepted full voltage without delay.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prestigio Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (3871A2)

This 3.7V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM 3871A2 cell in the Prestigio Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo (PMT5877C). It fits the 7-inch Android tablet directly, restoring power to units where the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to boot the device. Capacity is 3000mAh (11.1Wh), matching the original specification.

  • Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo and PMT5877C fitment: Both model designations use the same physical cell format, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake — the 3871A2 part number covers the full run of this tablet variant without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the PMT5877C platform. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, charge IC engaged correctly, and no false low-voltage cutoff events occurred under combined Wi-Fi and display load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff from a full charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a cell replacement.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the voltage curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop at low state-of-charge, and the IC interprets that curve as an emergency cutoff threshold. The tablet shuts down before the battery is actually empty. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration — after that cycle, the shutoff point moves back to the correct threshold near 3.0V per cell.

Fast charging not available after fitting the replacement cell

The Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo charge controller negotiates charge rate based on a recognised cell profile. On the first cycle with a new cell, the IC defaults to a conservative charge rate until it completes one full accepted charge cycle. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Charge the tablet fully from flat once using the original charger — on the second cycle, the charge rate returns to the standard accepted level.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Prestigio Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo is showing 60% battery but then just cuts off — what's going on?

The fuel gauge IC learned the voltage curve of your old, worn cell and is still using that map against the new battery. The new cell's voltage drops faster at low charge states, so the IC triggers a cutoff earlier than it should. Run the tablet completely flat until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging. That single full cycle recalibrates the gauge and moves the cutoff back to the correct point near 3.0V.

The battery percentage on my PMT5877C is jumping around after I replaced the battery — goes from 80% straight to 45%?

Percentage jumps after a swap mean the fuel gauge IC is interpolating capacity against stale calibration data from the old cell. It has no accurate anchor points for the new cell's charge curve yet. Discharge the tablet to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session — this gives the IC two firm reference points (0% and 100%) to rebuild its curve against. After one full cycle the readings stabilise.

The Multipad 7.0 Ultra Duo feels warm near the back while charging with the new battery — is that a fault?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge IC runs slightly elevated current while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance and adjusts its charge profile accordingly. It is not a fault in the battery or the tablet. If the back becomes hot to the point of discomfort or charging stops before reaching 100%, check that the original charger output matches 5V — using a high-output charger not rated for this tablet can cause the charge IC to behave erratically.
