This is a 3.7V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the RCA Galileo Pro 11.5" and Viking Pro 10 tablets. It fits models including RCT6513W87 and RCT6303W87, along with ten additional RCA tablet variants sharing the same battery footprint. Swap this in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power the device at all.

  • RCT6513W87 and RCT6303W87 series fit: These RCA tablet lines share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and physical envelope — 139.00 × 90.12 × 3.00mm — so one cell covers the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an RCT6513W87 unit. The charge IC accepted the new cell without flagging a fault, and the BMS held stable through a full discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference cycle against the new cell and eliminates the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear after a swap.

RCA Galileo Pro shutting down between 15% and 25% remaining

This is a voltage cliff issue. When the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio draw current simultaneously, the combined load pulls cell voltage down faster than the OS battery model expects. The system reads the voltage drop as a critically low state and triggers shutdown — even though the percentage shown is still in the teens or twenties. The fix is a full recalibration cycle: discharge to shutoff, charge to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle, the fuel gauge maps the new cell's actual voltage curve and the premature cutoffs stop.

The fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored data no longer matches the real voltage curve, so the percentage display drifts — sometimes jumping, sometimes reading full when the device is near empty. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle re-anchors the fuel gauge to the new cell and the percentage display stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my RCA Galileo tablet — what happened?

The charge IC needs one accepted charge cycle before it negotiates a higher-rate charge with the USB power source. Until that first cycle completes, the IC defaults to a conservative current limit on an unrecognised cell. Plug in and let the tablet charge fully to 100% without unplugging — on the next charge session the higher rate should resume. If the charger itself doesn't support USB-PD, the tablet will cap at standard charge speed regardless of the battery.

The battery percentage on my RCA Viking Pro drops from 100% to 70% within the first few minutes of use — is something wrong?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a capacity problem.
