Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT825ABE)
This is a 3.8V, 6000mAh lithium-polymer cell replacing the internal battery in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 and Tab S3 9.7 XLTE. It fits SM-T820, SM-T827V, and related variants that share the EB-BT825ABE battery specification. Capacity is 22.8Wh — matching the original cell's energy rating.
- SM-T820 and SM-T827V platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 165.90 × 116.12 × 2.92mm cell format fits flush without modification, and the BMS communicates charge state correctly to the system IC on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on SM-T820 hardware. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, charge current ramped correctly through CC/CV phases, and the system reported state-of-charge without error prompts.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery replacement.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap
The Tab S3's power management IC learned the voltage discharge curve of the original degraded cell over months of use. When a new cell is installed, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour at low charge states. At around 3.6–3.65V, the display backlight and active WiFi pull combined current that drops apparent voltage below the old cutoff threshold the IC still references. The fix is one full recalibration cycle — drain to forced shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption — so the IC maps the new cell's actual voltage floor.
Fast charging not resuming after battery replacement
Samsung's adaptive fast charge protocol requires the charge IC to complete at least one accepted charge handshake with the new cell before it enables higher current delivery. If fast charge shows as unavailable immediately after a swap, the IC is still running in standard mode. Connect the original Samsung fast charger and allow one full charge cycle to complete without interruption. After that cycle, fast charge negotiation resumes at the correct current rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tab S3 says 45% battery but then shuts off without warning — is the new cell defective?
The cell is not defective. The fuel gauge IC on the Tab S3 was calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve, and it no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage behaviour at lower charge states. At around 3.6V, combined load from the display and WiFi triggers a cutoff the IC incorrectly interprets as empty. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that single cycle recalibrates the IC against the new cell's real voltage floor.
The battery percentage on my Tab S3 is jumping around after the swap — it went from 60% to 80% after I unplugged it
Percentage jumps after a battery replacement are a fuel gauge drift issue, not a wiring or cell fault. The onboard fuel gauge IC stores a charge model built from hundreds of cycles on the original cell, and the new cell's impedance profile doesn't match it yet. Do not rely on the percentage reading until you run one full recalibration cycle: drain the tablet to forced shutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The gauge stabilises after that cycle.
My Tab S3 gets noticeably warm near the top edge while charging the new battery — is that normal?
Warmth near the top edge is where the charge IC and battery connector sit on the SM-T820 board, so that's the expected location for heat during charging. A new lithium-polymer cell draws full CC-phase current from the start because its internal resistance is lower than a degraded original cell — the charge IC dissipates more heat briefly as a result. If the tablet stays warm but below uncomfortable-to-touch, that's within normal range. If it becomes hot and charging slows sharply, check that the USB-C cable is not a third-party cable that caps current — swap to the original Samsung cable and the charge IC will manage thermals correctly.
