One complete cycle from 100% charge down to automatic shutoff, followed by an uninterrupted full charge, resyncs the IC to the PT425080's actual 1500mAh capacity. After that single cycle, percentage reporting stabilises across the discharge range.

Fast charging stopped working on my Voyager II after I replaced the battery — why?

The Voyager II's charge controller needs at least one completed charge cycle before it confirms the new cell's internal resistance profile and resumes its standard charge rate. On the first charge after a swap, it defaults to a reduced rate as a precaution. Plug in and charge the tablet fully without interrupting the session. After that first uninterrupted charge completes, the controller accepts the PT425080 cell and resumes the normal charge rate.
