Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HQ-3565N)
This 3.85V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer battery is a direct replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, including SM-T225N and SM-T225C variants. It fits the 8.7-inch 2021 tablet lineup that shares the HQ-3565N cell specification. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.
- SM-T220 and SM-T225 series fit: Samsung uses the same 117.40 × 97.00 × 2.80mm cell across the Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the A7 Lite. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol are identical across that range, so this cell covers both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an SM-T225. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, reported state-of-charge within a normal range, and thermal readings stayed within Samsung's spec throughout the charge cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference curve against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.
Why the Tab A7 Lite shuts down at 15–25% remaining
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite drives a backlit 8.7-inch display and a Wi-Fi radio simultaneously during normal use. When both pull current at the same time, the voltage on a degraded — or freshly fitted — cell dips sharply. The BMS reads that dip as a low-voltage cutoff condition and shuts the tablet down before the reported percentage reaches zero. This is a fuel gauge calibration problem, not a cell defect. After one full discharge-to-shutoff and an uninterrupted charge to 100%, the gauge recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
Fast charging not available after fitting a new cell
Samsung's adaptive fast charge protocol requires the charge IC to complete one accepted charge handshake with a new cell before it unlocks higher input rates. If the tablet shows only standard charging on the first cycle after a battery swap, that is expected behaviour — not a wiring fault. Charge the device fully once using the original Samsung charger and cable. Fast charge should activate automatically from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tab A7 Lite is showing 60% battery but the screen just went black and it won't turn back on — is the new battery faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the A7 Lite calibrates its percentage readings against the old cell's discharge curve, so after a swap it can read 60% while the actual voltage is already near the BMS cutoff threshold. Plug the tablet in immediately and let it charge to 100% without interruption. Then run it down to automatic shutoff once — after that full cycle the gauge re-learns the new cell's curve and the premature shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Tab A7 Lite is dropping from 100% to 80% in the first twenty minutes — was the replacement cell shipped partially discharged?
Li-Polymer cells are shipped at roughly 40–60% state of charge for transport safety, so a fast initial drop is normal. The larger issue is that the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell and overestimates how much charge the new one holds at the top of the curve. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that reference cycle the percentage will track accurately across the full range.
My Tab A7 Lite gets warm near the top-right corner while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?
That corner sits directly over the charge IC on the A7 Lite's board, not over the cell itself. The charge IC runs slightly warmer on the first few cycles with a new cell because it is negotiating current limits fresh against an uncalibrated BMS. If the tablet is warm to the touch but not hot enough to be uncomfortable, it is within normal range. If the surface temperature feels genuinely hot or the tablet triggers a temperature warning on screen, disconnect it and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat with no bent pins.
