Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

DigiLand DL1028W — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PR-3572102-2S)
This 3.7V, 5500mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the DigiLand DL1028W 10-inch Android tablet. It carries OEM part number PR-3572102-2S and matches the original's dimensions at 136.20 x 112.30 x 3.20mm. If your DL1028W no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this cell restores full battery function.
- DL1028W fitment: The PR-3572102-2S shares the same flat Li-Polymer cell format and connector pinout as the factory battery. The tablet's charge IC communicates directly with this cell over the same voltage rails, so the BMS handshake completes without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the DL1028W mainboard. The charge IC accepted the cell on the first cycle, BMS protection tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and capacity read within expected range at the fuel gauge register.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC one full reference cycle against the new cell and clears percentage drift caused by calibration data stored for the worn original.
Why the DL1028W shuts down at 15–25% remaining
The DL1028W runs a 10-inch display alongside WiFi simultaneously during normal use. That combined draw pulls the cell voltage down sharply compared to light loads. When the voltage sags below the charge IC's cutoff threshold, the tablet interprets it as empty and shuts off — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge makes this worse, because the IC has no accurate low-voltage reference point for the new cell. Running one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle corrects the reference and eliminates most of these mid-use shutdowns.
Battery percentage stuck or jumping after replacement
The DL1028W fuel gauge IC learns cell characteristics from previous charge cycles stored in firmware. When a new cell goes in, those stored values no longer match actual cell voltage, so the percentage display lags, jumps, or freezes. This is a calibration problem — not a fault with the battery. Discharge the tablet completely until it powers off on its own, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the gauge recalibrates against the new cell's actual voltage curve and the percentage display stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My DL1028W says 100% charged but dies after a short time — is the new battery faulty?
Almost certainly not. The fuel gauge IC on the DL1028W calibrated itself to the worn original cell, so its charge estimates are wrong for the new one. Drain the tablet completely until it shuts off on its own, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle resets the gauge reference and the percentage reading will accurately reflect real capacity from that point forward.
The DL1028W suddenly shuts off at around 20% after I replaced the battery — why?
The display and WiFi running together pull the cell voltage down fast under load. The tablet's charge IC hits its low-voltage cutoff threshold and shuts the device down before the fuel gauge reaches zero. This is a voltage sag issue, not a defective cell. Run one full discharge cycle to automatic shutoff so the firmware learns the new cell's actual voltage floor — shutdowns at 15–25% typically stop after that calibration pass.
Fast charging stopped working on the DL1028W after the battery swap — what's wrong?
The charge IC requires at least one completed charge cycle before it confirms the new cell's internal resistance profile and unlocks higher current delivery. After a swap, it defaults to a lower charge rate as a precaution. Charge the tablet fully from near-zero without interruption. If the charging rate does not increase after that first full cycle, check that you are using the original charger — a mismatched adapter output prevents the charge IC from negotiating the higher current regardless of battery condition.
