Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 WiFi — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT810ABE)

This 3.8V Li-Polymer battery replaces part number EB-BT810ABE in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. It fits SM-T810, SM-T815, SM-T815N0, SM-T817W, and over 23 additional SM-T8xx variants that share the same battery bay and connector. Capacity is 5800mAh (22.04Wh), matching the original cell specification.

  • SM-T810 and SM-T815 series compatibility: These models share an identical battery form factor, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The flex connector locks to the same 6-pin board header across the entire Tab S2 9.7 lineup, so one cell covers all regional variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell in an SM-T810 unit through charge and discharge under combined WiFi and display load. The BMS responded correctly at low-voltage cutoff and did not trigger a false protection trip during high-brightness screen-on use.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear immediately after a replacement.

Why the Tab S2 shuts down at 15–25% remaining

The SM-T810 runs a combined load spike when the display is at full brightness and WiFi is actively transferring data. At around 3.55V, this load causes a momentary voltage drop that crosses the BMS shutdown threshold before the fuel gauge IC reads 0%. The tablet interprets that voltage cliff as empty and cuts power, even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. A full recalibration cycle after battery installation teaches the fuel gauge where that cliff actually sits on the new cell.

Fast charging not available after battery swap on SM-T815

Some SM-T815 units stop offering fast charge immediately after a battery swap. The charge IC uses the first accepted charge cycle to negotiate current limits with the new cell's BMS. Until that first full cycle completes, the charger defaults to standard 5V/1A input as a precaution. Charge the tablet from under 10% to 100% in one uninterrupted session — fast charge typically resumes from the next session onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab S2 is showing 60% battery but just turned itself off — did I get a bad replacement cell?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The SM-T810 fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, and on a fresh replacement it misjudges where the real low-voltage cutoff falls. Under combined WiFi and display load, voltage drops fast enough to trip the BMS before the percentage hits zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the percentage and shutoff point should align correctly after that cycle.

The battery percentage on my Tab S2 jumps around after fitting the new battery — it dropped 12% in five minutes, then barely moved for an hour.

That's fuel gauge drift. The charge IC is still mapping the new cell's capacity curve and produces erratic readings until it has one complete reference cycle to work from. The underlying cell charge is accurate — the displayed number is not. Do one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the gauge will recalibrate against the actual capacity of the new 5800mAh cell.

My Tab S2 feels warm near the charging port while charging the new battery — is that normal?

Yes. On the first few charge cycles, the charge IC runs slightly warmer as it characterises the new cell and sets current limits. This is a normal condition with a fresh Li-Polymer cell that hasn't been cycled yet. The warmth should reduce noticeably after two or three full charge cycles. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a temperature warning on screen, stop charging and check that the battery flex connector is fully seated at the board header.
