Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE SM-X816N and replaces OEM part numbers GH82-32756A, GH82-31907A, EB-BX818ABY.
This 3.86V 9800mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full tablet runtime after original battery degrades or fails completely.
Connector slides into the rear battery slot with mechanical keying; flat flex cable seats into the mainboard ZIF socket.
We bench-tested this cell on SM-X816N hardware — BMS accepted charge handshake on first insertion, voltage ramp stable, no thermal drift.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE — 3.86V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BX818ABY)

This 3.86V, 9800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. It fits the SM-X816N, SM-X816, SM-X818A, and related Tab S9 FE variants. Install it when the original battery no longer holds charge, swells, or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • Tab S9 FE platform fit: The SM-X816 series and SM-X818A share the same 3.86V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell covers the full Tab S9 FE range without adaptation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Tab S9 FE unit. The BMS accepted the cell, charge IC communicated correctly, and no protection cutoffs were triggered during normal tablet loads.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

Fast charging unavailable after battery swap on the Tab S9 FE

Samsung's adaptive fast charge protocol requires the charge IC to complete at least one accepted full charge cycle before it re-enables higher current delivery to a new cell. Immediately after a swap, the tablet may default to standard 5W charging as a safety measure. Connect the original Samsung charger and allow one full charge cycle from low battery to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, fast charging typically re-enables automatically.

Tab S9 FE shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining

When display brightness is high and Wi-Fi is active simultaneously, combined current draw can pull the cell voltage below the BMS protection threshold faster than the fuel gauge predicts. The fuel gauge was calibrated against the old degraded cell, so its remaining-capacity estimate no longer maps accurately to actual voltage. Run one full discharge cycle — let the tablet power itself off at 0%, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the calibration and stops premature shutdowns at the 3.5V floor the BMS is protecting against.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab S9 FE shows 100% then drops to 60% within minutes of unplugging — is the new battery defective?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a cell fault. The fuel gauge IC inside the tablet was calibrated to the old battery's voltage curve, and the new cell's curve is different enough to throw off the percentage display. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. After that single calibration cycle, the percentage readout tracks accurately.

The Tab S9 FE feels warm on the back during the first few charges after the swap — should I stop charging?

Warmth during early charge cycles is normal when the charge IC is conditioning a new cell. The thermal profile on a fresh Li-Polymer cell is slightly different from a broken-in one, so the charge IC runs slightly higher current during initial cycles. If the back feels hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, stop the charge and check that the USB-C port is clean and the charger is the original Samsung adapter. Mild warmth that fades after the first two or three full cycles is expected.

After replacing the battery, my Tab S9 FE won't recognise the USB-C charger at all — the charging icon never appears

This usually means the BMS did not complete its initialisation handshake, which can happen if the battery connector was not fully seated during installation. Power the tablet off completely, reseat the battery connector firmly until it clicks, then reconnect the charger. If the icon still does not appear, use a different USB-C cable and confirm the cable supports charging, not just data transfer — some cables omit the power delivery pins entirely.
