Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xvive U6 Wireless Microphone Transmitter — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (502729)
This 3.8V, 260mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the internal cell in the Xvive U6 Wireless Microphone Transmitter. The U6 is a compact wireless transmitter used in live sound, presentations, and studio recording setups. When the original cell degrades and the transmitter cuts out mid-use, this direct swap restores full operation.
- U6 transmitter fit: The U6 uses a small integrated Li-Polymer cell running at 3.8V to power both the DSP stage and the RF transmit circuit simultaneously. This cell matches that voltage rail, connector, and 26.00 × 23.20 × 4.00mm footprint exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell under combined DSP and transmit load on the U6. The BMS held stable voltage across the full discharge curve without triggering an early cutoff under sustained RF output.
- Li-Polymer storage care for the U6: If the U6 will sit unused for more than two weeks, discharge to around 50% before storing. Li-Polymer cells stored at full charge accelerate electrolyte breakdown — a particular issue in a small 260mAh cell where degradation shows faster than in larger packs.
Why the U6 transmitter drops signal mid-performance on a new battery
The U6 draws current from two loads at once — the DSP processing block and the RF transmit stage. Under peak transmit load, current spikes briefly but sharply. If the replacement cell has a higher internal resistance than the original, voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold during those spikes. The transmitter interprets this as a depleted cell and shuts down even when the battery still holds charge. A properly spec'd 3.8V Li-Polymer cell with low internal resistance prevents the sag that triggers that false cutoff.
Battery indicator reads low immediately after fitting a replacement cell
The U6 battery indicator reads open-circuit voltage at power-on to estimate charge level. A replacement cell shipped in storage mode may sit at 3.5V or below, which the firmware maps directly to a low-battery state. This is not a fault with the cell. Charge the replacement fully before judging its state — a full charge cycle brings the cell to 4.2V and resets the indicator to full.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xvive U6 keeps cutting out mid-transmission even though the battery indicator shows charge remaining — what's happening?
This is a voltage sag issue, not a charge level issue. Under combined DSP and RF transmit load, the current draw spikes momentarily, and if the cell's internal resistance is elevated, voltage briefly drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — the transmitter shuts down even with energy still in the cell. It isn't a firmware bug or a pairing fault. Check that the replacement cell is fully charged; a cell sitting at 3.6V has less headroom to handle those spikes and will cut out sooner.
The receiver won't sync after I swapped the transmitter battery — is the U6 re-pairing automatically?
Some wireless systems lose their pairing link after the transmitter loses power entirely, because the sync handshake is held in volatile memory. Power the receiver off completely, then power it back on before powering the transmitter. Run the pairing sequence from scratch — on the U6 system this typically means holding the link button on both units until the LED confirms sync. This is a system behaviour, not a battery fault.
The replacement battery in my U6 seems to drain faster than the original did — why?
A Li-Polymer cell that has been stored at very low voltage for an extended period may not recover full capacity on the first charge cycle. Run two full charge-discharge cycles on the replacement cell before drawing conclusions about its capacity. If capacity remains low after two cycles, check that the U6 firmware isn't in a high-transmit power mode — some U6 firmware revisions allow output level adjustment, and a higher RF power setting increases current draw noticeably on a 260mAh cell.
