Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ariete 2711 / 2712 / 2717 / 2713 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Ariete cordless stick and handheld vacuum cleaners. It fits the 2711, 2712, 2713, 2717, and more than 20 additional Ariete models that share the same voltage rail and battery housing. When the original cell can no longer hold enough charge to finish a cleaning pass, this is the direct swap.
- Multi-model fit across the 27xx range: These Ariete vacuums share a common 14.4V battery platform — same connector orientation, same BMS voltage threshold, same physical housing. One SKU covers the full range without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a 14.4V Ni-MH platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low cell voltage, and the charge circuit accepted current without fault flags on a standard Ariete dock.
- Dock charging habit on Ariete stick vacs: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the dock permanently. Ariete's charging circuit does not switch to a true float mode — continuous dock contact pushes a trickle charge that accelerates Ni-MH capacity fade. Charge to full, remove from dock, store off the charger.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
Ni-MH cells under load show a steeper voltage sag than the indicator circuit expects. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current to maintain airflow — that extra draw accelerates the voltage drop without the indicator catching it. The vacuum feels like it's losing suction, but the battery icon still shows green. Clean or replace the filter first, then test; a partially blocked filter is the most common cause of early apparent power loss on this platform.
Motor cuts out mid-session then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — usually a blocked filter or a tangled brush roll — forces the motor to draw above the BMS threshold, which opens the protection circuit. Removing the load lets the BMS reset automatically, which is why the vacuum works again after a 30-second pause. Clear the blockage and check that brush roll resistance is normal; if the cutout returns with a clean filter, measure open-circuit voltage — a healthy charged cell should read at or above 15.6V across the pack terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Ariete vacuum loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — why?
This is voltage sag under load, not a faulty battery indicator. When the filter is partially restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated, which drops cell voltage faster than the indicator circuit registers. The vacuum feels underpowered while the light still reads green. Clean the filter thoroughly and retest — on a clear filter, this symptom disappears.
The vacuum cuts out after a minute or two of use, then starts again if I wait — is that the battery failing?
That is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a dead cell. Restricted airflow from a blocked filter or jammed brush roll pushes motor draw above the protection threshold, which shuts the circuit. The BMS resets on its own once load is removed, so the vacuum starts again after a short pause. Clear the blockage first; if cutouts continue on a clean filter, measure pack voltage at full charge — it should sit at or above 15.6V.
I've had this battery for six months and it barely lasts through one room now — what went wrong?
Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums fade quickly when left on the dock continuously. Ariete's charging circuit does not drop to a true maintenance mode — it keeps pushing current, and that trickle charge degrades cell capacity over weeks. The fix going forward is to charge only when depleted and remove the vacuum from the dock as soon as charging completes. A replacement cell recovers full capacity, but the same habit will shorten the new one the same way.
