Fits BobSweep Bob PetHair robotic vacuum; replaces OEM part E14040401505a.
14.8V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full motor current for sustained suction across carpet and hard floor cycles.
Connector seats flat into the battery dock with a single locking tab; verify tab alignment before inserting.
Bench testing showed the BMS engaged protection cutoff under sustained motor load at 75% state-of-charge; normal for this platform.
Do not leave this cell on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge—trickle charging degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BobSweep Bob PetHair — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (E14040401505a)

This 14.8V Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the BobSweep Bob PetHair robotic vacuum. It fits the Bob PetHair, WP460011RO, Junior, and WJ540011 models. Capacity is 2600mAh (38.48Wh) — use the figures from the product data, not estimated web specs.

  • Bob PetHair and Junior platform compatibility: These models share the same 14.8V cell configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. A battery mismatch at the BMS level causes the vacuum to refuse to start or cut out within seconds of powering on.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on a Bob PetHair unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the onboard charger. The pack accepted a full charge without triggering fault states and delivered consistent voltage under motor load.
  • Dock charging habit on the Bob PetHair: Do not leave the robot sitting on the charging dock between every run if it still holds a charge. Continuous trickle charge through the dock degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Li-ion cells under voltage sag deliver less current to the motor before the indicator circuit registers a low-battery condition. On the Bob PetHair, a clogged filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which accelerates that sag. The battery reads "charged" while the motor is already starved. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the root cause.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery failure. When the suction path is restricted — blocked brush roll, full dustbin, or a clogged filter — the motor pulls sustained current above the BMS threshold. The pack cuts the circuit as a protection response, then resets once current drops. Clear the restriction, then check that cell voltage is above 14.0V before concluding the pack is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BobSweep Bob PetHair loses suction halfway through a run but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?

The battery indicator measures cell voltage at rest, not under motor load. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag mid-run even when the indicator looks fine. The motor gets less power, suction drops, but the light stays green. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap — if suction returns to normal, the battery is not the problem.

I left my Bob PetHair on the dock all the time and now it barely cleans one room — is the battery dead?

Continuous dock charging puts the cells through a constant low-level charge cycle even when full. Over weeks, this degrades Li-ion capacity faster than regular charge-discharge cycles would. The cells are not dead, but their usable capacity has shrunk. Going forward, charge to full and lift the unit off the dock — capacity on a new replacement pack will hold longer if you follow that habit from day one.

The Bob PetHair won't charge at all after I installed the replacement battery — charger light just stays off.

The onboard charger expects a specific BMS handshake from the pack before it starts pushing current. If the BMS in the replacement cell does not respond correctly — due to a deep-discharged state or a brief wiring fault during installation — the charger will not engage. Reseat the battery connector firmly and check for bent pins. If the pack voltage reads below 10V on a multimeter, the BMS has entered deep-discharge lockout — connect briefly to a compatible Li-ion charger at 14.8V to wake the cells before returning it to the dock.
