Fits Electrolux Pure F9 and FlexLift PF9 models, replaces OEM part 140144439084.
36V 2000mAh lithium-ion pack delivers stable voltage to the motor under sustained suction load.
Battery slides into the vertical slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell on a Pure F9 motor load — BMS held steady, no premature cutoff events.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously; dock trickle charge degrades capacity significantly faster than standard charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux Pure F9 / FlexLift PF9 Series — 36V Li-ion Replacement Battery (140144439084)

This 36V 2000mAh (72Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original power pack in the Electrolux Pure F9 and FlexLift PF9 series cordless stick vacuums. It fits the PF91-6BWF and the broader Pure F9 FlexLift range. The OEM part number 140144439084 is the primary reference for this cell.

  • Pure F9 and FlexLift PF9 platform fit: These models share the same 36V bus, connector housing, and BMS handshake protocol. The battery slides into the same locking bay and communicates charge state to the vacuum's power management board without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the F9 charge cycle and confirmed the BMS handshake with the dock. The protection circuit responded correctly to overcurrent conditions — cutting out and resetting cleanly — and the charge indicator updated as expected throughout the cycle.
  • Dock charging discipline on the F9: Do not leave the F9 sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. Continuous trickle charge through the dock accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells at this voltage. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The F9's motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a blocked filter or partial blockage raises current draw, which triggers early voltage sag at the battery terminals even when the cell still holds charge. The vacuum's power board reads this sag as low voltage and steps the motor back before the indicator reflects actual state of charge. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers at lower power settings with a clean filter, the issue is airflow restriction, not battery capacity.

Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. When the F9 motor sustains a high-draw condition — dense carpet, a partial clog, or heavy debris — current briefly spikes past the BMS threshold and the protection circuit opens. The pack cools and resets within seconds, and the vacuum restarts normally. If the cutout repeats within the same cleaning session, check that the filter is clear and that no blockage is restricting the suction path. A clean, unobstructed airway keeps motor current within the BMS's rated operating window.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Electrolux Pure F9 loses suction well before the battery light shows low — is the battery actually flat?

Not necessarily. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, causing voltage to sag at the battery terminals. The vacuum's power board reads that sag as low voltage and dials the motor back, even though the cell still holds charge. Clean or replace the filter and test again — if suction improves at the same charge level, the battery is not the cause.

The F9 motor shuts off mid-clean and restarts on its own after a few seconds — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike. Thick carpet, a partial blockage, or heavy debris causes a short current surge that pushes past the protection circuit's threshold, so it opens the circuit. The pack resets once the current normalises, usually within seconds. Check the filter and the entire suction path for any restriction — clearing the blockage keeps the draw within the BMS operating range and stops the trips.

My new replacement battery is fading noticeably faster than the original did when it was fresh — what causes that?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. Li-ion cells at 36V that are held at full charge through a trickle-feed dock degrade faster than cells that rest off the charger between uses. Charge the battery to full, then remove the F9 from the dock and store it off the dock until the next session. If the vacuum is only used once or twice a week, this single habit change extends usable capacity significantly.
