Fits Infiniton Cleaner 1080, Cleaner 720, and Cleaner 1020 robotic vacuums; replaces OEM part CG-990.
14.4V, 3350mAh lithium-ion delivers sustained motor and navigation power across carpet and hard floors.
Connector seats into the dock charge port with positive-first orientation; locking tab engages flush against housing.
We ran full discharge cycles on the Cleaner 1080 platform; BMS held steady voltage under sustained suction load and showed normal shutdown at cutoff threshold.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles; unplug from dock after reaching full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infiniton Cleaner 1080 / 1020 / 720 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CG-990)

This is a 14.4V 3350mAh (48.24Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Infiniton Cleaner 1080, Cleaner 1020, and Cleaner 720 robotic vacuums. It replaces OEM part CG-990 and fits the same battery bay with the same connector orientation. Use the capacity figure from this listing — 3350mAh — not third-party sources, which vary.

  • Cleaner 1080, 1020, and 720 compatibility: All three models share the CG-990 battery format — same 14.4V rail, same physical envelope (69.70 × 37.60 × 37.10mm), and the same BMS handshake the charger expects. Swapping between models is not supported — keep this battery with the unit it was installed in.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Cleaner 1080's charge and discharge routine and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the dock charger — charge termination triggers at the right threshold and protection circuits respond normally to motor-start draw spikes.
  • Dock charging discipline for robotic vacuums: Do not leave the robot sitting on the dock between scheduled cleans indefinitely. Continuous trickle charging degrades lithium cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge the battery to full, then remove from the dock if the unit will sit unused for more than a few days.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. A restricted filter forces the motor to work harder, which pulls higher current and triggers the BMS to reduce output voltage before the fuel gauge registers low. The robot then underperforms at what appears to be a full charge. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction — if it recovers, the battery is not the issue.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. The protection circuit cuts power when sustained current draw exceeds its threshold — most often caused by a blocked brush roll or clogged filter creating backpressure on the motor. The BMS resets itself after a short cooldown, which is why the robot resumes. Clear the brush roll, clean the filter, and confirm the robot runs on a hard floor without interruption before testing on carpet again. If the cut-out persists on a clear floor, check that the battery voltage after a full charge sits at or above 16.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Infiniton Cleaner 1080 runs for a very short time even with a new battery — what's causing that?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated, which drains the 3350mAh cell faster than normal and makes runtime feel short even on a fresh battery. Remove and clean the filter, then clear any debris from the brush roll before running another cycle. If runtime improves, the battery is fine — the motor was simply working harder than it should have been.

The Cleaner 1080 sat unused on the dock for a few months and now the battery won't hold a charge — is it recoverable?

Extended dock sitting causes two problems: self-discharge can drop the cell below the BMS's minimum threshold, and continuous trickle charging degrades capacity over time. If the charger light comes on but the robot shuts down quickly under load, the cell has likely faded past recovery. To confirm, let it charge for a full cycle and check that the pack voltage reaches at least 16.4V before declaring it failed — cells that have sat deeply discharged sometimes need one full slow charge to recover before the BMS will communicate normally again.

The replacement CG-990 battery isn't charging on the dock — the charger light doesn't respond at all. What do I check first?

The Infiniton dock charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins charging. If the contacts are clean and seated properly but the charger shows no response, reseat the battery firmly — the contact pins on robotic vacuum docks are shallow and misalignment is common. If that doesn't work, attempt a direct charge with a compatible 16.8V Li-ion charger at 1A to initialise the BMS, then return the robot to the dock.
