This is a 7.2V 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Mint Plus 5200 and Plus 5200C robotic floor cleaner. It slots into the same bay as the original cell and restores the unit's ability to run sweeping and mopping cycles on hard floors. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification exactly.

• Plus 5200 and 5200C compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay geometry, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The 5200C added a mapping upgrade but kept the original 7.2V power architecture, so one cell fits both without modification.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Mint Plus 5200

Ni-MH cells show a relatively flat discharge curve until capacity is nearly exhausted, then voltage drops quickly. The Mint's motor draws more current when the filter is even partially restricted, which accelerates that terminal voltage drop. A cell that still shows charge on the indicator can fall below the motor's minimum operating voltage under load if the filter is dirty. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers and holds, the cell is fine; if it still sags early, the cell has lost usable capacity.

Mint Plus 5200 motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a depleted cell. When the intake is blocked or the filter is clogged, the motor works harder and current draw spikes above the BMS threshold. The protection circuit opens, the unit stops, and after the BMS resets — typically within 30 to 60 seconds — it restarts. Clear the intake path, check the filter for debris buildup, and run again. If trips continue on a clean filter with a new cell, the motor itself is drawing above rated current and needs inspection.
