Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta X-Force 14.60 / X-Force Flex 15.60 — 32.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GS_20_20_001495)
This is a 32.4V, 2000mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Rowenta X-Force 14.60 and X-Force Flex 15.60 cordless stick vacuums. It also fits RH9959WO, RH9990WO, and 17 additional Rowenta models sharing the same battery bay and connector. Cross-references include OEM part numbers SS-2230002589, ZR905001, ZR009702, and SS-2230002951.
- X-Force and X-Force Flex platform fit: The 14.60 and 15.60 series share the same 32.4V battery rail and multi-pin connector housing. Both models use an identical BMS handshake, so one cell pack covers both platforms without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on an X-Force 14.60 unit. The BMS correctly negotiated charge termination at 32.4V and triggered low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold with no fault codes raised.
- Dock charging discipline for X-Force models: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the wall dock between uses. The X-Force charging circuit does not cut trickle current reliably after the pack reaches full charge. Charge to full, then remove the battery or the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the X-Force 14.60
The X-Force motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter can push draw past the BMS overcurrent threshold even with charge remaining in the cells. The BMS reads this spike as a fault condition and reduces output to protect the pack, which the user feels as sudden suction loss. The battery indicator reflects state of charge, not available current, so it can still show two or three bars when the motor is already starved. Clean or replace the HEPA filter first; if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. On sustained restricted airflow — carpet pile, a blocked nozzle, or a full dust cup — the motor holds a high-draw state long enough for the BMS to interrupt the circuit as a protection measure. The pack cools slightly during the pause, the BMS resets, and the vacuum powers back on. Fix the restriction first: empty the dust cup, clear the nozzle, and check the filter. If the cutout continues on open hard floor with a clean filter, the cells may have degraded below the current threshold the BMS expects at 32.4V full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My X-Force 14.60 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery still shows charge — why?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which triggers the BMS overcurrent protection and drops motor output before the cells are anywhere near depleted. The charge indicator reflects remaining cell voltage, not available current headroom, so it stays high while suction falls. Clean the HEPA filter and empty the dust cup, then test again on the same floor surface. If suction returns to full strength, the battery is fine — the filter was the cause.
My replacement battery isn't charging on the X-Force dock — the charger light just blinks and stops.
The X-Force charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins the charge cycle. If the replacement pack's BMS is in deep-discharge lockout — below roughly 2.5V per cell — the charger sees no valid response and faults out. Try connecting the pack directly to a compatible 32.4V Li-ion charger at a low-current recovery rate (0.1C) for 15–20 minutes to bring cell voltage up enough for the BMS to respond. Once cells recover above the minimum threshold, re-seat the battery on the dock and the charge light should hold steady.
The battery fades noticeably after just a few months — it ran much longer when it was new.
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in the X-Force series. The charging circuit does not reliably stop trickle current once the pack is full, so cells that sit at 100% charge under low current degrade faster than cells cycled normally. Check your usage pattern — if the vacuum lives on the wall dock between every use, that is the cause. Charge only when the pack is low, remove it from the dock when full, and store the vacuum with the battery between 40–60% if it will not be used for more than a week.
