Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clarity C110 / C120 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 2.4V, 80mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Clarity C110 and C120 wireless headsets. It slots into the headset housing and restores audio transmission and call functionality when the original cell no longer holds a charge. Voltage and cell format match the factory specification exactly.
- C110 and C120 compatibility: Both models run the same 2.4V Ni-MH cell on the same audio and DECT radio circuit. The connector pinout and physical dimensions — 33.90 x 20.00 x 10.50mm — are shared across the pair, so one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through full charge and discharge on the base station, confirmed the BMS handshake completed, and verified the charge indicator cleared correctly on the base unit.
- First charge in base station: Place the headset in the base and let it complete a full charge cycle before taking a call. The base station logs the new cell during that first cycle — without it, the talk-time estimate will read low and the headset may cut off earlier than expected.
Base station not recognising the new pack
DECT base stations like the C110's use a charge handshake to register the battery before reporting status. If the cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 2.2V for a Ni-MH pair — the base may show a charging error or no indicator at all. Seating the headset firmly in the cradle and leaving it undisturbed for the full first charge cycle usually resolves this. Once the cell climbs above the base's recognition threshold, the status LED clears and normal operation resumes.
Headset cutting out mid-call on a new battery
The C110 draws current simultaneously from the audio amplifier and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined load, a cell not yet conditioned can sag below the headset's low-voltage cutoff, triggering a dropout even though the charge indicator still shows partial capacity. This is a cell conditioning issue, not a fault. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles through the base station and the sag will reduce as the Ni-MH plates stabilise — cutoff should stop occurring by cycle four at the latest.

Frequently Asked Questions
My C110 base shows a full charge but the headset cuts off after a very short call — what's happening?
The cell arrived at storage voltage and the base registered it as charged before the plates had been properly cycled. The headset hits low-voltage cutoff early because the actual usable capacity hasn't been established yet. Place the headset in the base, let it run a complete uninterrupted charge cycle, then use it until the headset cuts off naturally — repeat that two to three more times. By the third full cycle, cutoff during calls should stop.
The headset drops out mid-call but comes back if I sit still — is the battery losing contact?
This is voltage sag under combined DECT radio and audio draw, not a loose connection. When the Ni-MH cell is cold or unconditioned, the internal resistance is high enough that the combined load pulls the terminal voltage below the headset's cutoff threshold — movement shifts the draw briefly, which can mask it. Run the cell through three to five full charge and discharge cycles on the base. Internal resistance drops as the plates condition, and the sag under load narrows — check performance again after cycle four.
The headset feels noticeably warm during long calls on the new battery — is that normal?
A small Ni-MH cell in a compact headset housing generates more surface heat than a larger pack would, because there's less mass to absorb it. During extended calls the sustained draw from both the audio circuit and the DECT transmitter keeps the cell working continuously, and heat builds in the enclosed shell. This is within normal operating range for this cell size, provided the headset doesn't become too hot to hold comfortably. If it does, check that the cradle contacts are clean — dirty contacts force the cell to work harder and increase heat output.
