Fits 3M C1060 wireless headset and intercom models; replaces OEM battery BAT1060, XT-1, CP-SN3M.
3.7V 950mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the sustained current draw needed for DECT radio plus audio without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the C1060 battery slot with a positive contact on top; locking tab on base station dock holds pack stable.
We bench-tested this cell on the C1060 dock; BMS accepted the new pack on first charge cycle without fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking calls — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before talk-time estimates are accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

3M C1060 Wireless Intercom Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT1060)

This is a 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the 3M C1060 wireless headset and intercom system. It fits the C1060, C1060 Wireless Intercom, RF1060, and T-1 series. The OEM part number is BAT1060, also cross-referenced as XT-1 and CP-SN3M.

  • C1060 and RF1060 platform fit: These models share the same 3.7V cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack services the full intercom line without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the C1060 base station and confirmed the BMS completed a full charge handshake. The cell held voltage within spec across combined DECT radio and audio draw.
  • First-use cycle on the base station: Seat the headset in the base and run one complete charge cycle before making any calls. The C1060 base station uses that first cycle to register the new cell and calibrate the talk-time indicator. Skipping this step causes the display to show inaccurate charge levels for several sessions.

Base station not recognising a new pack after swap

The C1060 base station expects a BMS handshake before it confirms a charge state. If the cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — the base may show no charge activity or a blinking error indicator. This is not a fault with the battery or the dock. Place the headset on the base and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle. Once the handshake completes, the base will display a solid charge indicator and the headset will register correctly.

Headset cutting out mid-call on a new battery

The C1060 draws simultaneously from the audio circuit and the DECT radio module. Under that combined load, a cell that has not been through at least two or three full charge cycles will sag in voltage faster than the BMS expects. The BMS reads the sag as a low-cell condition and trips the cutoff to protect the cell — dropping the call. Run three full charge and discharge cycles through normal use and the sag behaviour will reduce as the cell reaches rated capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 3M C1060 base station shows a charging error right after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?

The base station requires a completed BMS handshake before it accepts the new cell. A battery arriving at storage voltage won't trigger that handshake immediately, so the base throws an error or shows no charge activity. Seat the headset firmly in the dock and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle — don't lift it mid-cycle. After that first full cycle the handshake completes and the error clears.

Talk time is noticeably short for the first few uses — is the battery defective?

It's not defective. Li-ion cells don't reach rated capacity on the first cycle — the 3M C1060 pack typically needs three to five full charge and discharge cycles before it delivers its full 950mAh. Each cycle allows the electrolyte to fully saturate the electrode material, which raises usable capacity. Run the headset until the base station indicates low charge, return it to the dock for a full charge, and repeat — talk time will increase with each cycle.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that a concern with this 3.7V cell?

Some warmth is expected. The C1060 housings are compact, and the 3.7V cell is sustaining both the DECT radio transmitter and the audio codec simultaneously for the duration of the call. Heat becomes a concern only if the housing is too hot to hold comfortably, or if the base station begins cutting the charge cycle short. If either happens, check that the headset vents and dock contacts are clear of debris, and avoid charging in direct sunlight or on top of other equipment that generates heat.
