This 3.7V, 800mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Aastra 600d, 610d, 620d, and 630d cordless DECT handsets. It matches the original cell format at 55 x 34 x 4mm and connects via the same OEM-spec connector. Part numbers DK512009, 23-001059-00, A600ST1, and 23-001080-00 all cross-reference to this cell.

  • 600d–630d platform compatibility: These four handsets share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. One cell fits all four without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 610d handset. The BMS accepted charge from a standard base cradle without fault, and voltage held steady through a full depletion cycle with no mid-cycle cutoff.
  • First charge on a DECT handset: After fitting, seat the handset in the base cradle for a full uninterrupted charge before first use. Li-ion cells shipped from storage often arrive at a reduced state of charge — a complete first cycle brings the cell to rated capacity and lets the handset's fuel gauge calibrate correctly.

Why the 600d series loses range when the battery ages

DECT transmitters draw current in sharp pulses during each radio burst. An aged or depleted Li-ion cell cannot sustain voltage under these short high-current spikes, so the handset drops transmit power to compensate. The result is reduced range — not a fault with the antenna or base station. Fitting a fresh cell at full charge restores the voltage headroom the transmitter needs and brings range back to spec.

Handset not pairing after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which can wipe the DECT pairing registration stored in volatile memory on some 600d-series units. The handset powers on but fails to locate the base or shows a "searching" indicator that never resolves. To fix this, run the pairing sequence from the base station menu while the handset is powered on and within 1 metre of the base. Once re-registered, normal operation resumes immediately.

My Aastra 630d shows full bars on the base but talk time is much shorter than it used to be — is the new battery faulty?

This is normal for the first few cycles after fitting a fresh Li-ion cell. The handset's charge gauge calibrates against the battery's actual capacity over the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles, so early talk time reads low while the cell and gauge align. Run three complete cycles — charge until the base indicator shows full, then use the handset until it gives a low-battery warning — and talk time will stabilise close to rated capacity. If it remains short after five cycles, check that the handset is fully seated in the base cradle during each charge.

The base station charge light stays red or flashes an error when I put the 610d back in — what's happening?

Li-ion cells drop to a low resting voltage during storage. If the cell ships below the base station's acceptance threshold, the charger circuit reads it as a fault rather than starting a charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — a slow trickle-charge mode on most Aastra bases will kick in at voltages above 3.0V and bring the cell up to a normal charge state. If the error persists, confirm the contacts on the handset and cradle are clean and making firm contact.

My Aastra 620d battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — why?

The handset must be fully seated in the cradle for the charging contacts to engage. If the unit is slightly misaligned, it sits in standby drawing from the battery rather than charging. Lift the handset out, reseat it with a firm click, and check that the base charge indicator activates. Standby current on the 620d is low, but even a small draw will fully deplete an 800mAh cell overnight if the cradle contact is intermittent.
