Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Aspire 4333 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AS10D31 / AS10D71)
This is an 11.1V Li-ion battery rated at 6600mAh (73.26Wh), built to replace OEM cells in the Acer Aspire 4333 and a wide range of Aspire notebooks including the 4339, 4349, and 4352. It uses the same connector and BMS handshake expected by the Aspire platform. Cross-references include AS10D31, AS10D51, AS10D71, BT.00607.125, and over 30 additional OEM part numbers.
- Aspire AS10D platform fit: The AS10D series cells all share a common 11.1V three-cell rail, identical physical connector, and the same BMS communication protocol. That is why one replacement cell covers hundreds of Aspire model variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an Aspire chassis and monitored the BMS handshake through a full charge cycle. The protection circuit responded correctly to overvoltage and overcurrent thresholds, and the system BIOS recognised the cell without error flags on connection.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run the laptop on battery alone until it reaches hibernate cutoff — do not interrupt — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
Why the Aspire BIOS flags a new cell as poor health or unknown
The Aspire BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM and compares incoming cell readings against that cached profile from the old battery. A new cell has different internal resistance and state-of-charge curves, so the BIOS initially reads a mismatch and reports poor health or an unknown device. This is not a fault in the new cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge overwrites the cached EEPROM baseline and brings the health indicator in line with the actual cell condition.
Aspire shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The gauge believes 25% remains while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the safe discharge floor under combined CPU and display load. The BMS triggers a hard cutoff to protect the cells — what you see on screen is the uncalibrated percentage at that moment, not the true state of charge. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full recharge cycles; after that the fuel gauge IC will track the new cell accurately and the early shutdowns will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Aspire shows the battery as 0% or "unknown" right after I installed the new cell — is it dead?
The BIOS is reading EEPROM data cached from the old battery and cannot match it to the new cell yet. The cell is not dead. Run the laptop on battery only until it hibernates from low power, then charge it fully without interruption. That single discharge-recharge cycle resets the BIOS learn cycle and clears the unknown or 0% reading.
Windows is reporting this battery's capacity as a different Wh figure than what's printed on the label — which one is correct?
The Wh figure Windows pulls comes from the EEPROM data the BMS broadcasts, which may reflect the rated chemistry baseline rather than the actual 73.26Wh of this specific cell until calibration completes. The product data rating of 73.26Wh is correct. After two full discharge-to-hibernate and complete recharge cycles, the reported Wh figure in Windows will converge with the actual cell capacity.
The Aspire charges to exactly 80% then stops — the indicator light goes green but the gauge never moves past 80%
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a battery fault. Many Acer BIOS versions ship with a battery health charge cap enabled that holds the charge ceiling at 80% to reduce cell stress during long plug-in periods. Go into the Acer Care Center application or the BIOS power settings, locate the battery health charging option, and set it to 100% maximum charge. The battery will then charge to a full 11.1V terminal voltage.
