Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Aspire 4710Z — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AS07A32)
This 11.1V, 8800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Acer Aspire 4710Z and a wide range of Aspire notebooks including the 2930G, 4330, and 4730ZG. It cross-references OEM part numbers AS07A32, AS07A51, AS07A72, and several BT.00xxx codes. Capacity is 97.68Wh — higher than the stock 4400mAh original cell.
- Aspire 4xxx and 2930 series compatibility: These notebooks share the same 11.1V battery rail, identical connector pinout, and a common BMS handshake protocol — which is why one SKU covers 60-plus Aspire models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an Aspire 4710Z and monitored the BMS through charge and discharge cycles. The protection circuit responded correctly to over-voltage and over-current thresholds, and the cell accepted a full charge without throttling.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on Aspire notebooks.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The Aspire BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers stored on the old battery's BMS board. When a new cell is fitted, those registers are blank or mismatched, so the BIOS flags the battery as degraded before a single charge cycle is complete. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle will overwrite the stale EEPROM values and the health warning will clear.
Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge remaining
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under combined CPU and display load, even though the fuel gauge IC still reads 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve, so its percentage readings are optimistic at the low end. The fix is to complete two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles — each one tightens the fuel gauge model. After calibration, the shutdown point should align with the displayed percentage, which will read closer to 5–8% before the BMS cuts power.

Frequently Asked Questions
The OS fuel gauge is jumping all over the place — showing 60%, then 40%, then back up — is the cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC builds its discharge model from actual cycle data. With a brand-new cell, it has no calibration history, so percentage readings are erratic for the first few cycles. Run two to three full discharges to hibernate-cutoff followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%. By the third cycle, the gauge IC will have enough data to track the cell's actual voltage curve and the readings will stabilise.
Windows shows this battery's capacity as 48Wh in Power Options, but the cell is rated 97.68Wh — why?
Windows reads the design capacity value from the EEPROM on the battery's BMS board. On a fresh replacement, that register may carry a default or carry-over value from a different chemistry bin until the BIOS learn cycle completes. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the learn cycle updates the EEPROM, the Wh figure reported in Power Options should reflect the actual 97.68Wh rating.
The battery stopped charging at 80% and the laptop has been on AC power for hours — is something blocking the charge?
Some Aspire BIOS versions include a charge-limit setting — sometimes called "Battery Health Manager" — that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear. This is a firmware control, not a battery fault. Open the Acer Care Center utility or check BIOS under the Power menu, locate the charge limit setting, and set it to full capacity (100%).
