Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UM09E36)
This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T-8679 and related AS1410 series ultraportable laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers UM09E36, UM09E78, UM09E51, and over 20 additional Acer part variants. Fit the battery when the original no longer holds a charge or BIOS flags it as degraded.
- Timeline 1810T and AS1410 compatibility: These models share the same 10.8V three-cell battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell spec covers the full range of AS1410 and 1810T variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 1810T platform. The BMS reported correct voltage at every state-of-charge checkpoint, and the BIOS battery status cleared without error after one learn cycle.
- Post-install calibration on the 1810T: After fitting this battery, run the laptop on battery power until it hibernates at low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS to run a fresh learn cycle against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell
The Acer Timeline BIOS stores charge history and wear data in the previous battery's EEPROM. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads no history and flags health as unknown or poor. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a data mismatch. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After two to three cycles, the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the cell cannot sustain voltage under combined CPU and display load as it approaches the lower end of its charge curve. The fuel gauge IC read the resting cell voltage as 20–30%, but under load the voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold. The fix is a full calibration cycle — discharge fully to hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two cycles the fuel gauge maps the new cell's voltage curve accurately and the early shutdown stops.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Acer 1810T shows a different Wh rating in system info after fitting the new battery — is the cell wrong?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or BIOS is pulled from the battery's EEPROM, and the value stored there reflects the OEM's rated chemistry spec, not always the exact cell fitted. The replacement cell is 47.52Wh, which may differ slightly from what the previous battery reported. This is an EEPROM data difference, not a fault. Check the physical label on the battery — if voltage reads 10.8V and capacity reads 4400mAh, the cell is correct.
The fuel gauge on my Timeline AS1410 is jumping around — it reads 60%, then 80%, then drops to 40% within minutes. What's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC on these Acer platforms needs two to three full charge-discharge cycles to map the voltage curve of a new cell. Until it does, state-of-charge readings are extrapolated from the old cell's data and will be erratic. Run the laptop on battery until it hibernates, charge fully to 100%, and repeat twice. By the third cycle the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's curve and readings stabilise.
The new battery charges to 80% and stops — the indicator light goes solid and the laptop says fully charged. Why won't it reach 100%?
Acer's BIOS includes a charge-limit feature on several Timeline models that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during long plugged-in sessions. This is a firmware-controlled threshold, not a battery fault. Check Acer's power management settings or the Acer Care Center utility — look for a "Battery Health Mode" or charge limit toggle and disable it to allow charging to 100%.
