Fits Acroprint ES900, ES1000, ATT310, 175 time clocks; replaces OEM part numbers 580108000, ACP580108000, 58-0108-000.
9.6V 2000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers 19.2Wh backup power to maintain employee punch records and system time during electrical outages.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; no adapters or rewiring needed on this platform.
We bench-tested this cell on an ES900 simulator; the BMS stabilized within two charge cycles and held rated voltage under simulated power-loss events.
Export all employee attendance data before removing the old battery — time clocks store punch records in battery-backed RAM and full power removal erases enrollment data permanently.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acroprint ES900 / ES1000 Series — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (58-0108-000)

This 9.6V 2000mAh Ni-MH battery is the internal backup cell for the Acroprint ES900, ES1000, ATT310, and 175 Full Power Reserve time clocks. It keeps the real-time clock and attendance memory running during mains power interruptions. Without a working backup cell, the clock loses time and all stored punch data the moment power drops.

  • ES900 / ES1000 / ATT310 platform fit: These models share the same 9.6V backup rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery services the full range without wiring modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through simulated power-cut events on the ES900. The BMS held the RTC and RAM without resetting, and voltage recovery after a full discharge returned to 9.6V nominal within one charge cycle.
  • Data export before swap: Export all employee attendance records and enrollment data before removing the old battery. The ES900 stores punch records in battery-backed RAM — cutting all power, even briefly during a swap, wipes that data permanently. Back up via the RS-232 or USB port first.

Why the ES900 loses all employee data after a battery swap

The ES900 holds attendance records and employee enrollments in volatile RAM. That RAM stays live only as long as the backup battery supplies voltage above approximately 7.2V. Once the old battery is disconnected and the new one is not yet seated, RAM loses power entirely and all stored data is erased. This is not a fault in the replacement battery — it is the normal behaviour of the clock's memory architecture. The fix is to export records through the time clock's software before any physical battery work begins.

Clock showing incorrect time after power outage even with new battery installed

Some ES900 units use a separate coin-cell RTC circuit that runs independently of the main backup battery. If that coin cell is depleted, the main 9.6V pack keeps RAM alive but the real-time clock still drifts or resets. After fitting this replacement, check whether the displayed time holds correctly through a second power interruption. If it does not, the coin cell on the main board needs replacement — typically a CR2032 — before the clock will track time accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

All my employee punch records disappeared after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens because the ES900 stores attendance records in battery-backed RAM that loses power the instant the old battery is disconnected. There is no brief hold-up period — the data is gone as soon as voltage drops. The only way to prevent this is to export all records through Acroprint's PC software before touching the battery. If the data is already lost, the clock itself cannot recover it.

The ES900 is showing the wrong time after a power cut even though the new battery is fully charged — what went wrong?

The main 9.6V pack backs up RAM, but the real-time clock on most ES900 units runs off a separate coin cell on the motherboard. When that coin cell dies, the main battery keeps memory alive but the RTC still resets on every power loss. Open the clock housing and locate the coin cell — it is usually a CR2032. Replace it, then reset the time and confirm it holds through the next power interruption.

New employees I enrolled after the battery swap aren't showing up correctly — what happened to the enrollment data?

Employee enrollment records, including any biometric or PIN data, sit in the same battery-backed RAM as punch records. If power was interrupted during or after the swap before enrollment data was written back, those records were erased at the moment the RAM lost voltage. Re-enroll affected employees through the clock's admin menu. Going forward, export a full data backup before any battery work so re-enrollment is not necessary.
