Fits Advantech MICA-071 and MICA-071-051 tablets, replacing OEM part number 13-202-JK5330.
This 3.7V, 4100mAh lithium-polymer cell matches the original energy capacity and powers field operations without voltage sag under combined display and wireless load.
Connector orientation matches the OEM slot; no adapter needed, physical dimensions are identical to the factory pack.
We bench-tested this cell in the MICA-071 charge circuit — the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault codes or negotiation delays.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Advantech MICA-071 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (13-202-JK5330)

This is a 3.7V, 4100mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Advantech MICA-071 and MICA-071-051 rugged industrial tablets. OEM part number 13-202-JK5330. It fits the slim cell bay directly and uses the same connector and contact layout as the original cell.

  • MICA-071 and MICA-071-051 compatibility: Both variants share the same chassis dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — this cell fits either without modification. The 5.20mm cell thickness matches the bay clearance on both builds.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on the MICA-071 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completed on first connection. Charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge began tracking within the first charge cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff once, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to re-anchor its calibration against the new cell and clears the percentage display errors that commonly appear after a cell replacement.

MICA-071 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under combined display and Wi-Fi load than the gauge expects. The tablet interprets a brief voltage dip as a critically low state and triggers an emergency shutdown before the cell is actually empty. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% recalibrates the gauge. After that cycle, shutdowns at artificial percentages should stop.

Fast charging not available after battery swap on the MICA-071

The MICA-071 charge IC runs a handshake with the battery during the first accepted charge cycle before it enables higher charge rates. If you check fast charge status immediately after fitting a new cell, the protocol negotiation may not have completed yet. Connect the tablet to its original charger and let the first full charge run uninterrupted — do not disconnect mid-cycle. Fast charge availability is confirmed once the charge IC logs a completed cycle against the new cell, typically resolved after that single full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MICA-071 is showing 80% battery but keeps jumping to lower numbers every few minutes — is that the new battery?

The fuel gauge IC is still running calibration data from the old cell, so the percentage readings are unreliable until it re-anchors to the new cell's discharge curve. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff under normal field use, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without disconnecting mid-cycle. That one full cycle resets the calibration reference. After it completes, percentage tracking stabilises.

The MICA-071 feels warm near the charging port while the new battery is charging — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on a fresh lithium-polymer cell draws a higher initial current as it characterises the new cell's internal resistance, which generates slightly more heat than a settled cell would. The temperature should drop to the same level as the original battery after two or three cycles. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throws a fault indicator on screen, stop charging and check that the connector is fully seated.

After fitting the replacement battery, the MICA-071 percentage drops from 100% to around 85% within the first 10 minutes of use — what's happening?

This is fuel gauge drift — the IC's top-of-charge reference point is misaligned with the new cell, so it over-reports at 100% and then corrects sharply once load begins. It is not a capacity problem with the cell itself. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The gauge IC re-anchors its full-charge voltage reference during that cycle and the sharp early drop resolves.
