Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Agilent 200I Pagewriter — 6V Sealed Lead Acid Replacement Battery (AS11013)
This is a 6V 7000mAh sealed lead-acid battery for the Agilent 200I Pagewriter portable ECG machine. It slots into the battery compartment and powers the unit during patient examinations and cardiac monitoring sessions. OEM part numbers AS11013, B11013, M2460A, and OM11013 all cross to this cell.
- 200I Pagewriter compatibility: The Pagewriter 200I runs a 6V SLA power rail with a BMS that validates cell voltage at boot. This battery matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the device completes its startup handshake without fault codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Pagewriter 200I power-on self-test sequence. The BMS accepted the cell, completed its internal verification, and the device reached the ECG ready state without generating battery fault flags.
- Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the Pagewriter run its full power-on self-test without interruption. The BMS runs a verification cycle at startup — cutting power during this sequence creates a false battery fault that persists until the next complete reboot.
Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap
The Pagewriter 200I boot sequence includes a BMS verification step that checks cell voltage against a stored threshold. A new SLA cell delivered in a partially discharged state from transit can sit below that threshold, causing the device to stall mid-boot. This is not a fault with the battery or the machine. Connect the Pagewriter to mains power and allow a full uninterrupted charge cycle before powering on independently — this brings the cell above the BMS acceptance threshold, typically 6.0V resting.
Low battery alarm triggers immediately after confirmed full charge
The Pagewriter's charge IC applies a conservative acceptance limit on the first charge cycle of a new SLA cell, which means the cell may not reach its full rated capacity on cycle one. The BMS alarm threshold is calibrated to OEM cell behaviour, and a new cell needs one complete charge-discharge cycle before its internal resistance profile matches that baseline. Run one full cycle — charge to completion, discharge under normal device use, then recharge fully — before drawing clinical conclusions about battery state. After that cycle, the alarm threshold and actual cell capacity align correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Pagewriter 200I shows a low battery warning right after I fully charged the new battery — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The Pagewriter's BMS alarm threshold is calibrated to an OEM cell that has already completed several charge cycles, and a brand-new SLA cell has higher internal resistance on delivery. Run one full charge-discharge cycle — charge completely on mains, use the device until the normal low-battery point, then recharge fully — and the alarm threshold will align with the cell's actual capacity.
The Pagewriter won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the packaging for a few weeks before I fitted it — what happened?
SLA cells self-discharge in storage, and the Pagewriter 200I will not power on if the resting cell voltage has dropped below the BMS recovery threshold. Connect the device to mains power without attempting to power it on first — allow the charger to recover the cell for a minimum of 12 hours. Once the resting voltage reaches approximately 6.0V, the BMS will accept the cell and the device will boot normally.
The Pagewriter shuts off unexpectedly during a patient examination after the battery swap — the charge indicator was showing full before use.
New SLA cells under a real clinical load profile deliver less current in the first 10 charge cycles than their rated capacity suggests — the cell hasn't yet reached its full electrochemical conditioning. The Pagewriter's ECG acquisition circuitry draws a sustained load that stresses an unconditioned cell harder than the charge indicator accounts for. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles before relying on the battery for uninterrupted clinical use, and confirm the resting voltage reads above 6.2V before starting an examination.
