Why the Fonepad 7 shuts down at 15–25% remaining

The Me372CG runs its display backlight and Wi-Fi radio simultaneously at medium-to-high brightness, creating a combined load spike that pulls cell voltage down sharply. The BMS reads that voltage dip as a near-empty cell and triggers a protective cutoff — even when the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. This is a voltage-sag event, not a capacity failure. A recalibration cycle teaches the fuel gauge to account for this load profile and pushes the real cutoff point below 10%.

Tablet percentage dropping faster than expected from 100%

After a battery swap, the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. It maps the new cell's voltage curve incorrectly, making 3900mAh look like it depletes faster than it should. The fix is one complete cycle — discharge to automatic shutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the IC re-maps the voltage curve to the new cell and the percentage drop returns to normal.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Me372CG — what happened?

The Fonepad 7 charge IC needs to complete at least one accepted charge cycle before it re-negotiates the fast charge protocol with the new cell. Plug in the tablet using the original charger and cable, not a third-party USB-C adapter, and let it charge to 100% without interruption. On the next charge session, fast charging should resume. If it does not, check that the cable supports the correct current rating for the Me372CG — at least 2A at 5V.

The battery percentage on my Fonepad 7 is jumping around — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% in minutes without heavy use.

Jumping percentages after a battery swap mean the fuel gauge IC is still referencing stale calibration data from the old cell. The IC maps charge state against a voltage profile it learned from a degraded battery, so small voltage shifts look like large capacity swings. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites that calibration to the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
