The MeMO Pad HD 7 feels warm near the charging port during the first few charges after fitting this battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on the new cell runs at a slightly higher current acceptance than a degraded original cell, which generates a small amount of heat until the two components settle.
