Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Q302L Series — 11.3V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C31N1339)
This is an 11.3V, 4000mAh (45.2Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus Q302L, Q302LA, Q302LG, and Q302LA-BBI5T14 notebook laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers C31N1339, 0B200-00930100, 0B200-00930200, and 0B200-00930300. If the original cell has degraded and the laptop no longer holds a charge unplugged, this cell restores portable operation.
- Q302 series platform fit: The Q302LA, Q302LG, and Q302LA-BBI5T14 all share the same three-cell Li-Polymer pack configuration, matching connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single part number covers the entire range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on the Q302L platform and confirmed the BMS negotiation completes correctly — the system identifies the battery, charge current ramps as expected, and the protection circuit trips at the correct cutoff threshold.
- Post-swap recalibration cycle: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
The Q302L BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM on the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads stale cycle count and degradation values from its own memory and flags the battery as poor before a single cycle has run. This is a firmware read issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge forces the BIOS to rewrite that EEPROM data against the actual new cell. After one complete learn cycle, the health status updates and the warning clears.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The IC maps a legacy discharge curve to the new cell and calls the voltage floor too early — cutting power while the display still shows charge remaining. It is not a dead cell. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles with no interruptions and the fuel gauge recalibrates its low-voltage threshold to match the actual chemistry. After calibration, the shutdown point shifts back to the correct cutoff near 10.0V per pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Q302LA BIOS still shows the old battery's cycle count after I swapped the cell — is the new battery faulty?
The BIOS on the Q302 series reads cycle count and health data from its own EEPROM, not from the new cell directly. That stored data carries over from the old battery until a learn cycle forces a rewrite. Run the laptop down to hibernate on battery, then charge to 100% without interrupting — the BIOS will rewrite the EEPROM against the new cell and the cycle count will reset.
My Q302L powers off at around 25% charge shown, but the battery feels like it still has power left — what's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the Q302L maps a discharge voltage curve, and after a cell swap that curve is misaligned to the new cell's chemistry. The IC hits what it thinks is the voltage floor and tells the system to shut down while actual charge remains. This is a calibration gap, not a bad cell. Run two full discharge cycles — drain to hibernate, charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the fuel gauge recalibrates its cutoff threshold to the correct voltage.
System info on my Q302LA shows the Wh rating as different from what the replacement battery lists — should I be concerned?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or the BIOS is read from the EEPROM embedded in the battery pack, and the value encoded there can differ slightly from the physical cell chemistry in a replacement. The Q302L's C31N1339 pack is rated at 45.2Wh by actual cell capacity. If the system reports a different figure, check it after completing one full calibration cycle — the EEPROM value does not affect charge behaviour or cutoff thresholds, so no action is needed beyond confirming the voltage reads 11.3V nominal under the battery details tab.
