11.52V 3600mAh Li-Polymer pack restores full charge capacity on ultrabooks that shut down prematurely or fail to boot.
Connector seats flat into the underside bay with a single locking tab; no adapter needed for original slot fit.
We bench-tested against UX462DA hardware; the BMS accepted the new pack on first connection with clean voltage handshake and no boot flags.
After installation, discharge fully to system hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the incorrect health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Zenbook Flip 14 UX462 / UM462 Series — 11.52V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B31N1822)

This is an 11.52V, 3600mAh (41.47Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus Zenbook Flip 14 and VivoBook Flip 14 series. It fits the UX462DA-2G, UM462DA, UX461FN, and dozens of related models that share the B31N1822 cell specification. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or drops off sharply under load.

  • UX462 / UM462 / UX461 platform fit: These models share the same 3-cell Li-Polymer architecture, 11.52V voltage rail, and B31N1822 connector pinout. The BMS handshake matches across the UX462, UM462, and UX461 boards — no firmware mismatch on swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the UX462 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error, balanced all three cells correctly, and held the rated voltage under combined CPU and display load.
  • Post-install BIOS learn cycle: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement

The Asus BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the original cell. A new cell ships with different EEPROM values, so the BIOS flags it as degraded or unknown — even though the cell is new. This is not a fault with the replacement. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn cycle data and brings the health indicator back to normal.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% battery shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The new cell hits a voltage floor the IC misreads as empty, triggering shutdown before the actual capacity is used. The fix is calibration: discharge fully to automatic hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two to three cycles the fuel gauge IC locks onto the new cell's discharge curve and the shutdowns stop. Check that Windows Battery Saver is not set to trigger at 30% — that setting will also cause early shutdown regardless of cell condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

My UX462 shows 0% or "unknown" battery in Windows right after I fitted the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The Windows fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data written by the old battery and hasn't yet mapped the new cell's charge curve. Run the laptop down to automatic hibernate on battery only, then plug in and charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one to two full cycles the fuel gauge re-calibrates and the reading stabilises at the correct level.

Windows is showing the Wh rating as lower than the 41.47Wh listed — why does the spec look wrong in system info?

The Wh figure shown in Windows pulls from the EEPROM design-capacity register, which the old cell wrote during its original commissioning. A new cell ships with its own EEPROM value that may differ slightly from what the previous cell logged. This is a data mismatch, not a capacity deficit. After the BIOS learn cycle completes — one full discharge to hibernate, one uninterrupted charge to 100% — the reported Wh figure will update to reflect the actual cell rating.

Charge stopped at 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery defective?

Almost certainly not. Asus laptops running recent BIOS versions ship with a charge limit feature enabled by default, capping charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. The battery is fine. Open MyASUS app, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode to Full Capacity Mode — charge will then reach 100%.
