Asus VivoBook F102BA Series — 11.25V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A31N1311)

This is an 11.25V, 2940mAh Li-ion battery for the Asus VivoBook F102BA and X102B series — compact 10-inch notebooks running the AMD A4/E1 platform. It replaces OEM part numbers A31N1311, 0B110-00260100, 0B110-00260000, 0B110-00260200, and A31LM25. Fit also covers the VivoBook F200CA and F102BA-SH41T variants.

• F102BA / X102B platform fit: These models share the same three-cell Li-ion configuration, 11.25V nominal rail, and connector pinout. The BMS communicates over the same SMBus line, so the BIOS reads charge state and cell health from the same register map across all variants.

Why the F102BA BIOS flags a new battery as poor health on first boot

The F102BA stores battery health data in the EEPROM of the original cell's BMS chip. When you swap the cell, the BIOS reads fresh EEPROM from the new battery and sees a Wh rating and cycle count that don't match its stored baseline — it flags this as degraded. This is a calibration state, not a fault. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge resets the learn cycle. After two to three full cycles, the BIOS health indicator returns to normal.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. The old curve had a different voltage cliff point, so the system hits what it thinks is empty well before the cell is actually depleted. The fix is calibration: let the battery discharge fully to the hardware cutoff, then charge to 100% at least twice without interruption. After calibration cycles, the gauge aligns the 0% threshold to the cell's actual resting voltage of approximately 9.0V under load.
